I booked a non‑smoking room for my family, but upon entering, we noticed a strong smell of cigarette smoke. This made the stay uncomfortable, especially since we are a non‑smoking family and specifically chose a non‑smoking room to avoid this issue.

The location is great, near big mall, near pusat oleh2 Citra Niaga of Samarinda. The breakfast is varied, change the menu every morning, sometime we had nasi kuning, sometime nasi jeruk, excellent.

They should check the water dispenser every time, so the guest wouldnt run out the water

The foods was good, but I think it needs more variation. Generally the hospitality was fine, but perhaps it could be faster when it comes to "check in" time. I had to wait for about 45 minutes to get my room available.

The WIFI connection was super duper bad, worst, i think. It's good to have android TV, but without WIFI connection it's useless! Limited TV channels also make me feel bored during my stay. The gym facilities that can be used was also limited. Some equipments were not working.

There is a small mall with many restaurants and a groceries store beside the hotel and a coffee place with live music on weekend.

There was a problem with the drainage where the water will take forever to drain in the shower and face sink.In-room service prices are not updated on the ordering TV device.The room is a bit small.

Could not get a beer…Mercure next door does all the meals and has beer but staff at the Ibis when asked said they run out of stock with regards Bintang…so I asked for another type of beer and was given the answer “ we have run out of everything”…bull dust!Would love to have had a swim in the pool but too many kids…it’s Indonesia…ce la vieParents not looking after their kids…kids running up and down hallways…noisey…ringing door bells…yelling and screaming…but I suppose we have to live with it being Indonesia…they have not got much idea how to act in hotels

Breakfast was average...yes...eggs, toast , fruit was ok...coffee was ordinary...cant believe a country that grows so much coffee doesn't know how to make a good cup.Hot food was very ordinary...nothing exceptionally inspiring in there.. the chef looks tired...

Wifi was terrible...ok on the ground floor lobby, but useless in the rooms...kept dropping out constantly...not just me...but others state g in the hotel said same...

Enjoy stayed staff very friendly and comfort room.

breakfast was fine and room was clean. Honestly speaking I didn't like at all Samarinda city, so I would definitely recommend, if you are travelling for tourism, to skip Samarinda and try maybe Balikpapan
