WQ Wellington Quarter Hotel

The location is a little way out from the centre, so requires a 20 min or so walk should you want to go there. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and the restaurant is good.

Comfy bed, windows opened up, tea and coffee provided. Good space for a night or 2. Nice reception areas and onsite cafe etc

My room was a bit tired and dated, and not quite matching the new and modern contemporary optics that the front of the building and reception areas signifies

Parking

Room was good. Liked the location as I like going for hikes and Te Ahumairangi Hill was close by.

Expected a fast USB charge outlet

The bathroom is a little tired

My request for a change of room was agreed for the next morning as fully booked when I arrived & found I had been allocated a room with a shower bath.Staff were efficient & genuinely pleasant & able to offer assistance.Special mention to Deidre

Nothing, I found I could walk to waterfront & main shopping & tourist info, it is an uphill hike from these back to hotel but there are buses & taxis.

Beautiful hotel in great location. Easy walk to train/bus station. Great cafes in the next block. Room very nice. Excellent pillows and bedding. Nice guest laundry.

Only 1 elevator working, but not too inconvenient.

Good size room, with large comfortable bed. Pod Coffee provided.

Bathroom was a bit dated.

The location is ok. Reasonably close to the CBD, but limited amenities in the immediate area.

The hotel is tired & a bit run down. Carpets were old & dirty. The linen & rooms were serviced, but the undersheet on my bed was literally brown (instead of white) and the whole place just felt a bit old and tired. The shower was good but too strong for the tray & water spilled out onto the floor. Only 1 lift was working. Very few TV channels (no Sky at all). No free parking, and the paid parking was tiny & difficult to use. Overall I felt ripped off for what I paid TBH.

Lovely stay, great location about 10 minute walk to the train station. Very comfy and clean. Amenities in the room and bathroom are greatly appreciated and brilliant thoughts.
