From lower hutt, there are heavy traffic if there is plan to connect city or airport in the prime time.

Comfortable beds and friendly staff made the stay a good one

Was disappointed to find the spa bath barely worked, and the restaurant is non existent so I had to order in as I had no vehicle to go looking for food.

Fernhill is a great place to stay with our Golden Retriever when we travel and conveniently located for getting the Ferry.

We have stayed at Fernhill on several times with our Golden Retriever and have found it it to be our home away from home. It has everything we need there and our 'boy' even remembers the room he was in last visit ❤️

Great location for accessing Wellington activities, close to public transport. Good size room and spacious facilities.

No air con so rooms were very hot and with windows open was quite noisy with motorway adjacent.

Staff were really nice. Nice quiet location, very cozy room.

My Stay of choice when in Lower Hutt. Lovely management & Staff, great parking, room was cosy & comfy. Loved the private outdoor table & chairs - lovely sitting in the sun

No complaints

Dodgey and noisey guests coming and going at all hours, suspect this property is also used for homeless government housing. Full on domestic arguments in the car park and speeding cars coming and going. One guy walked out of the motel and smashed a whole box of beer on the ground out the front of the car park. Unusual odours in room and mould in bathroom

Good location

Ground floor room felt and smelled damp. Sofas were filthy with dust and crumbs. Also sheets were clean, there were black hairs throughout the beds which had probably fallen in while they were being made. There were also quite a few holes in the walls and some wallpaper peeling off.

Location perfect for my needs. Studio room was larger than expected. Very clean, comfortable.

I have no complaints

Been here before, its a bit old and tired, but clean, lots of parking, kettle, microwave, toaster, good shower and 15 minutes from the ferry terminal, all a traveller needs for a night.

Couch was uncomfortable,no heat pump and heater that was provided was noisy

Smell of cigarette smoke out side room car park away from room. Expensive for what you get.

Bed was ok. Shower good pressure.

Pubic hair on floor in bathroom. Shower door dirty. Rangehood filthy. Stained furniture.

The room was as described and bed comfortable

Access to the rooms was strange and the we felt the carpark area was not secure

Easy access to motorway to catch ferry. Strange layout.

Shower did not work. No real shops close by.

The room was great and the staff were very willing to work with our late check in time despite check in closing at 6 I believe

There were some people in the parking lot blasting music not really the fault of the inn just kind of freaked us out when we were checking in at 11pm

Clean & comfortable. Good location. Parking good. More than met our needs for a one night stay & well placed to catch an early ferry to South Island.
