Free parking and close to the happenings on Cuba Street The bathroom was updated and clean. And the bed was clean and comfy. The view from the penthouse was phenomenal.

This is a very basic lodging which we booked only because there was nothing else available at a reasonable price. The hallway carpet was threadbare, the room carpet was old and stained, and the lobby smelled like dogs

What a Gem. Located a short step from Cuba Street the location is great. Free off street parking. Spacious accommodation. Friendly and very helpful staff. Owner operator lives on site. High enough to provide excellent views over Wellington

The room exceeded our expectations. It was modern, light, clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It was easy to access off the motorway too.

The room was more like an apartment with every thing provided better than average - better than expected - lots of space. Comfortable bed and lovely linen

We left some pj’s there and house keeping found them for us, although we had already left Auckland and weren’t going back a couple of hours to get them

It was quite busy. People coming in at all hours although it was NYE when we stayed.

Close to good restaurants and cafes, clean, free parking. Dean at the front was wonderful.

Location great, right near Cuba St and close to the ferry terminal. Helpful to have free parking. Our room was very comfortable, chairs and table and a comfy armchair and it was nice to have a kitchen for coffee in the am. The bed was very comfortable. Dean was great taking our bags up and with dinner recommendations.

It was a bit further away than we usually stay but was still close to Cuba street and eateries. It looked a bit tired from the outside but the room was very nice.

Parking was tight but still available free.

The motel is an excellent location 5 mins walk from the top end of Cuba Street. Close to lively entertainment, pubs, restaurants and shops or a short walk to Lambton Quay or Courtney Place . We had a King room with a queen bed and two singles. It was a quiet location during the day and at night. Smart TV in the room but we didn't use it. We were travelling with a large Ford Transit van so needed a descent size carpark. Capital View Motel provided just what we needed - off site parking, large enough for a high-top van. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a lift, if required, but as we were on the first floor it was easy to use the stairs. Would happily stay there again.

The shower was small but the water pressure was good. So no complaints.There is a smart TV in the room and I am guessing you can link your phone or device to it... but we didn't know how.

We first arrived after hours and were easily able to retrieve our room keys but had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs to get to the elevator. Our room was smelly and felt dank. Next morning I mentioned it to the clerk and she quickly was able to move us to a newly renovated room. Much better. The carpets in the stairwells are worn out in parts. There is adequate parking available if you rent a car. The hotel is close to the city center making it a very walkable location for touring.

The kitchen area could have had a list of utensils that were available in the unit. The.place we rented had the double bed in the main living space and two twins in a separate room ( with a door). I think I would have preferred the larger bed in the separate room.

Very nice unit, modern, clean and a good view.

City view at night would have been better if the lights in the car parking area were not so bright. Also they made the room a bit light.

Enjoyed the views on of room on the 5th floor. Conveniently located. Decent size apartment. Very comfortable for one night.

The location, though is good but a bit quiet at night.

Room was luminous, spacious, quiet, nice view on the city, free parking, 5 mn walk to Cuba St (many restaurants), 15 mn drive to the ferry, 10 mn walk to Te Papa museum, etc.

Bed is too soft to my liking, too little pressure at the sink faucet
