Pros +
- Friendly and helpful staff and the location
- A unique experience in a lovely old building. Great location within walking distance from the railway station.
- Communication was great. Because of the weather we were late arriving but self check in was easy. Well stocked fridge with fresh milk. Bed was very comfortable/shower powerful. Everywhere was spotless. Great location for train/ferry terminals and getting into the city. Loved the decor and cosy feel. Would definitely stay again.
Cons -
- Dark and gloomy generally and in the room - small overlooked window. No reception after 4 or 5 pm. When there's an evening function they leave the front door open - but as there's no reception staff anyone can walk in so didn't feel very safe. A very old lift - and a notice to say off the lift breaks down to call the engineers yourself. Overall didn't feel that welcoming.
- No parking however staff are very helpful in directing where we can park which is not very far from the hotel
- Kinda of an old musty feel, which the posted pictures convey. One high dormer-like window, but in side street of business district so there was little light and no view to begin with.

Arrived late at night and very clear instructions to access room. We were given an upgrade and the room was exceptional. The building is old and may be perceived as tired but it adds to the character of the hotel.
Just awesome. Loved the old building, location and staff.
Good location. Room clean.

Location!

Staff were very accommodating and location was wonderful for us to go to Ed Sheeran concert
It was a little to expensive so only stayed one night
Friendly staff, beautiful building, very clean and great location
Walked up to locked front...
Don't book this place. Might of once upon a time been a hotel. Broken windows. Doors locked. Restaurant been closed for a while. Obviously nobody else staying as a guest in this building. This place is a scam
Excellent bed, Table to run my computer on, plenty of power points, great lighting, Bathroom spacious
This is just such a comfortable place to stay. The location is ideal, so close to the railway station and Lampton Quay for great shopping. Staff are always helpful and kind.
This hotel is in a great location for both the bus to the airport and the train station. The room was huge and the staff friendly and helpful. They provided me with a big golf umbrella which was a game changer as it was bucketing down. Nice to stay somewhere unusual with olde worlde charm instead of the standard corporate offering
Close to the ferry. There is a lift to your room.Room was very spacious .
This hotel oozes old world elegance and charm. Spacious room, high ceilings, good location, easy checkin. Loved the old lift with scissor cage doors.
Parking not great but accessible
Charming, clean, stylish and friendly. Excellent location for City visit.
Masonic connection (2nd floor) did not make us feel comfortable.
Our room was great. Enormous bathroom. Very comfortable bed
No available staff after 5. No one on the premises
Clear effort has been made to renovate and keep this place looking fresh. Bathroom had nice touches, bed comfortable.
Not a huge fan of the decor or shower over bath or the lack of staff presence at 5pm.
Fabulous decor. Very comfortable and spacious room. Lovely to stay in a boutique hotel with historical features. Great coffee shop on ground floor.Very central location for city centre and harbour.Very affordable bottles of wine available as part of mini bar.
