Stove top for cooking rather than portable unit

Very little.

On arrival I cancelled this booking straight away and requested an immediate refund (but to no avail!). Booking.com said no payment until arrival and this was not true either. Bitterly disappointed!! I will never use booking.com again or trust its information. I requested a refund through booking.com and they too have not refunded me.

Location is great. Straight across from the beach.

Pool water was dirty, cloudy and couldn’t see through it. Room was dirty, bed sheets were mouldy. Outdoor area was a mess. Didn’t look like the place had been cleaned in a long time.

Disappointed

The pool was disgusting, hot time of the year, told them we were coming with 4 kids and arrived to find the pool closed and filthyno warning, kids very disappointed

The main bed wasn’t comfortable and bowed in the middle. Really needs replacing.

Bad

Even though booking had been confirmed etc. we get there and had wrong dates booked in. Room we was given stunk , it was dirty. We had to share bathroom which was dirty. No reception staff had to ring.

Does the job, as far as budget accommodation goes, has all the facilities you would anticipate.

Booking process was confusing, thought I had paid with Booking.com as I put my card details in, then was informed I needed to pay over the phone with the Holiday Park. I should have read into it a little bit more, so I can't really fault anyone. I just thought it was confusing and not as smooth as other stays.

It was quiet until first about 8am. The room was functional.

The dirty tissue and plastic wrapper with food crumbs left on a shelf in the room. The toilet cubicles had thousands of insect wings on the floor but worst was one toilet had skid marks left in it so I went to the next one where there was several, large, dried urine spots on the toilet seat. I had to squat above the toilet to use it. The dried urine needed to be scrubbed off. There was no soap dispenser, filled with soap.

Disappointing

So basically it was a small room, with questionable cleanliness (there was a gum on the bed frame), and the facilities weren't clean at all either.

Staff were helpful and studio was very good.

As two female travellers, I wouldn’t recommend the budget rooms at all. We arrived, greeted with leering men and all in all an unsafe vibe. The map was very difficult to use so we spent a while looking around which made us feel quite vulnerable with the onlookers. We got to our room which had an unstable to say the least lock, which was difficult to figure out. Even we were sure it was “locked”, you could still see out the bottom and side of the door. To their credit, we rang them up and asked to be upgraded which was hassle free and we were moved to a studio room which felt much safer as it was on the other side of the park with families and other women. The studio was lovely and we would recommend, lots of facilities and felt much safer. It felt very much like two different places on the budget vs studio side.

Easy walk to cafes and eateries. Nice pool. Friendly staff. Clean amenities. Quiet, I could not hear any noise from the highway even though trucks were using it constantly.

Have always chosen kookaburra but won’t again.

Pool was out of action and according to locals it has been for around 6 months. Should have said that on the website. Two hot kids with me.

The main bed was so uncomfortable it was like you could only sleep in the middle of the bed if you lay on one side it was pulling you to the middle I think it’s time for some new mattress and the air conditioning motor rattling on the roof all night was pretty annoying

Room was really cramped especially the bathroom. As a tall person the bathroom was very uncomfortable. The air con was not cold even when turned to the lowest setting. The fridge stunk of seafood. TV had no signal whatsoever.

I was contacted by the Kookaburra Park the day of arrival and advised they couldn't process my credit card payment. I had already paid in full to Booking.com. The Park said they had not received my payment. When I arrived at the Kookaburra Park at 4 pm Reception was closed. There was no instruction provided via text, or email, as to how to gain access to the booked villa. I contacted the after hours phone and the advise indicated no record of my reservation or payment. They said they would allow me into a villa and sort out in the morning. There seems to be issues between Booking.com and this establishment impacting on service, reliability and professionalism.
