Rooms very small beds short

The room was excellent, beautiful shower & bathroom facilities. Dinner at the hotel was amazing, best veggies ever outside home.

A little mirror outside the bathroom would be very handy, but feel it’s a bit petty to complain about a small thing.

Location the upgraded room the bed was divine

The towels were small

A footpath from reception/ bar area to rooms would be great. Firmer mattresses would make beds more comfortable.

Good location right in middle of town. Clean, tidy and comfy beds. Easy parking. Has bar and restaurant on site also

We always stay at the Royal when travelling through Tenterfield, no hassle, affordable, clean, comfortable, reliable service. Staff are always available and friendly. Great location, love the undercover parking.

Everything was great

The motel was in a good location and the room was clean with basic decor. The staff were friendly and welcoming with a Christmas slice! There is a hotel beside it so you have the option to dine there which is good when travelling on a Sunday.

There was nothing to dislike.

The accomodation was nice and clean. Most of the staff were friendly particularly a young man that was serving in the bar in the afternoon on the Monday.

When booking into a hotel you would expect to be able to wander into the bar and grab a cold drink after being on the road travelling. The bar didn’t open until 3 and they only serve lunch on the weekend. Even if they had a limited menu. We also were meeting some local friends for dinner and we were told by some locals we would be kicked out around 8pm. We were finishing our dinner so weren’t told to leave but they called last drinks around 8.15. My husband grew up in Tenterfield and the Royal was his local and he said it was never like that before. The bar also needed more staff. It is holiday season so such a good time for country businesses to take advantage of the holiday trade. We wouldn’t stay at the Royal on our next visit.

Great location with the Royal Hotel next door. Clean, comfortable room. Definitely recommend staying here when passing through Tenterfield.

The location was perfect, walking distance to most cafes, shops and parks. Big, clean bathrooms and undercover parking for each room. Handy to have a restaurant and bar onsite so family could come to us for a dinner out. Room spacious enough to fit a porta-cot without moving other furniture or losing walkways.

There was never anyone at reception and it was hard to track down staff. But once you did, they were very lovely and helpful.

Very well located to town, can walk to everything. The hotel bar/dining room has a nice ambiance and some very nice craft beers. Some undercover parking for vehicles.

The motel car parking facias need painting and more undercover parking would be ideal.

Some noise at night with a band playing but finished at a reasonable hour.

Great place to stay. Great location, walking distance to Coles and a few restaurants and cafes.The staff are great every time. Freshly baked cookies and milk on arrival every time.Comfy beds. Bathrooms exceptional and newly renovated I think.We travel between Brisbane and Tamworth quite frequently and have stayed here about 5 times. It's by far the best motel along this route and we've stayed at a few different places.

Nothing. 10/10. Can't think of a single thing wrong with it.

Recently renovated. Looking really good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The meals in the pub were great, tasty, good portions and reasonably priced.

Quiet comfortable motel accommodation and undercover parking for motorcycle

A quiet overnight stay. Clean, comfortable, well located motel in the centre of Tenterfield. Staff were excellent, with a friendly yet professional approach. Small extras like home made Anzac biscuits with your coffee were appreciated.It was very convenient to be able to dine at Munros Kitchen in the hotel.
