The overwhelmingly horrendous smell of stale smoke as soon as the door was opened. The smell did not lessen even with the mist sprayer that was in the room. Clothing and bag taken into the room also stunk of smoke upon leaving of the room.

Rooms where big,staff were friendly,close to town.All round very happy.

I found i had no complaints

Hotel caretaker was very friendly and tried to help were he could, unfortuntely he was working under very questionable instructions from the new hotel owner.

Room only partly clean upon arrive, rubbish bins still full with female hygiene products, disgusting.No room cleaning or maintenance whatsoever, even on a 9day stay no fresh towels supplied until I went and asked for fresh towels.Phone number recently changed but not updated online (google, maps, their own website, not even on booking.com)Ended up leaving 1 day early, attempted to get the last night refunded via booking. com, not possible due to owner not being contactable and also not responding to multiple emails from myself. Will definitely never stay there again.

Great price, great location and the friendly staff.

Room large and comfortable. Very big bathroom. Good facilities. Room we had was at the back, very quiet and private.

Room was dated but didn't effect the stay. Windows weren't very secure, some just had screws to keep them shut.

Friendly welcome and useful travelling advice when checking in. Location in the main street, opposite a supermarket and shopping centre was good.

The room was generally a bit run down - broken light fittings, a fridge that wasn't very cold and broken fittings in the shower. There were no towels for us, but these were quickly provided (and were very good quality) when we asked for them.

It is located very close to the bus I needed to catch to go interstate.

The airconditioning system did not keep me cool enough overnight. It was blasting air but the air didn't seem to come around the corner to the bed.

The location is great, close to the supermarket, cafes, pubs, and a fuel station.

The mattress was firmer than we're used to, so we didn't sleep well. The air conditioner didn't have a remote in the room. One bedside lamp wasn't working because of a blown bulb. Additionally, there was a used soap bar left in the shower holder with hair on it.

Location is excellent. Staff were excellent and friendly.

Cleaning could have been a bit better.

Location is excellent, and surprisingly quiet given it is on the main thoroughfare of Tenterfield. It is an ‘old school’ type of motel, but the room size is good, bathroom plenty big enough, clean and reasonably comfortable bed. Microwave was useful, and there was cutlery. Coles supermarket directly across the road. Royal Hotel a short stroll away does very good meals. Was travelling solo, and felt quite safe. Will stay again next time I’m passing through.

Decor is a bit dated, but for a one night stop-over, it was not a major concern. Have stayed in far worse and paid a lot more for the pleasure.

Nothing, it was so dirty

There were insect droppings around the jug, opened the cupboard and there were lots of insect and bug droppings around the toaster, the folded towel on the bed had moths on it and a brown stain, the sky light in the bathroom had lots of cobwebs and there was mould growing 200mm up the corner tiles.We booked OUT after only 5 minutes and were told by the mgr he could not refund on the eftpos machine we paid on but would transfer the refund.No money was refunded, after 2 weeks I rang and got the owner, he said they have sacked the mgr and he would ring around to confirm we had cancelled and gone elsewhere, promising to ring back in the next morning, after not hearing for a week I rang back and got a lady who was pleasent and refunded me that night.I will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.
