Pros +
- Looks good outside.
- The room was big and was clean. It was quiet even though it's next to the main road. Lots of parking space. There is a restaurant and bar. The museum looked cool. We'll definitely come back here.
- The location was perfect. The restaurant facilities were good and convenient.
Cons -
- Looks great from the outside, inside was very poorly maintained very old bathroom and I thought there was no hot water but after waiting about 5 mins it got warm. Shower was like 3rd world with no pressure. Cockroaches and flying creatures all night
- Poor wifi connection.
- We booked through booking.com and we were given a room in the old part of the hotel. Though clean, it was very tired. Our friend booked directly and stayed in the new section of the hotel. Not sure if that was because we booked through booking.com

Accommodating when booking site not specific enough, staff altered room to under ground on request.
Booking.com site didn't provide clearly under ground and above ground room. Had to alter booking after arriving.Soap holder missing in shower?
The location is good.
They didn’t make the bed and they don’t replace the towels. We stayed two nights.
Great location and room.
No PowerPoint near my side of the bed for my CPac breathing machine.
Location is good
My room has no air conditioner, very stuffy and humid. Fans are too loud.
Underground museum was nice to visit
Unclean old room with unsafe environment
Big room. Comfortable bed. 15 percent discount on meal at restaurant close by.
Couldn't get 'free' coffee in the morning because coffee machine wasn't working.
Very unique property. Quiet dark rooms
Bathrooms are pretty dated
We loved the spacious room which was above ground. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was really good and great value. The position was central to everything.
Nothing really- everything was as expected.
Dirt falling in room on pillows and tables due to being underground but was beautiful place
Bed was comfortable so slept well.
Waiting so long for even warm water and when they ask you to save water and then only luke warm and then get a blackout soon after out so couldn’t have a coffee before we left.
Location and generally clean. Nice underground restaurant near by foods not bad. CK underground Asian
No air conditioning
It's central plus love the free drink with dinner and 15% off + free coffee in morning The receptionist was very nice and gave us all the required information for we needed about the hotel and sister hotel which is also nice. Unfortunately the bar/barista staff was rude. Plus the morning we left the bar man was outside with other people giving out about customers
We lived the underground aspect. Property also had a great museum, bar, & pool. But since we brought the rain with us ...no need for pool. The walls of the room...shedded dirt on the couch & bed. I woke up to a gritty bed. Light switches to far from bed. Needs plugs
It was a very good location clean and friendly staff
Didn’t have lock gate out the front if being picky for the location in
Place was nice and room was clean
My “underground” room was not underground and I paid extra for that….
Very convenient location. Discount offer for food available great history tunnel of the opal mining industry
No dining on premises so had to go out to eat after a long travel. Pillows way to soft. Need a firm option as well as the soft, but really if this is the worst I can say it is all good.
Very poor in old hotel rooms, not in main building where we usually stay
Despite staying there many times before, we were placed in an old section of hotel near main street, paying more than we have other times before. Rooms were old, dated, could hear people and TV from adjoining rooms. It was surprising as the hotel appeared to have very low occupancy given the few cars parked in the parking area. While it is not the Hotel's fault, there was antisocial behaviour out front of our rooms and we had to call for police and management to move us to the section of hotel where we usually stay.
