The Underground Motel

Nice location, a little bit above the town. Bedroom was nice and cozy. Separate shared kitchen with everything you need. Overall really nice. Parking onsite was no problem either.

The ventilation of the room could be a bit better. Can get a bit muggy on hot days after a shower in the room.

Location was quiet and bed was comfortable. Staff were really nice and off we red tea and coffee in kitchen.

The office isn't always open.

Lovely quiet location, comfortable rooms. Great little kitchen for guest use. Informative host who went above and beyond to recommend tours, things to see and helped us out with laundry service too. Thanks Mike for a fantastic visit.

Pillows a bit soft but room great

Underground rooms are supposed to be warm in winter We found our oom was cool with no a/c heating.

Some form of heating.

Easy check in, clean, everything we wanted.

Novelty of being underground and the kitchen facilities were good

The bed was uncomfortable and small and the mattress needed to be replaced as it sagged. The pillows needed to be replaced. There were no skylights in the room so it was dark.

Certainly a different experience being underground. It was good to see what it was like.

The room was very small with only a double bed not a queen. The bed was pushed against the wall on one side so access to the bathroom during the night was a challenge.No facilities in the room at all apart from the bathroom and toilet.The kitchen facilities is in a separate shared room so if you have food or drinks that need to be refrigerated then everyone has access to them.The room was stuffy with just a ceiling fan which didn't really do much.

Use to a bigger bed but was good. Noise from other people outside of room was noisy when kids talking loudly. Had to move bed so not having to crawl over the other person.

The uniqueness of the setting and great hosts.

Coober Pedy is a small city with around 2000 population. Easy to explore around with a car. Just 15 minutes walk from Motel down to main road (Hutchison Road) where we find restaurant, supermarket and museums

It's a very nice place and a really clean room, happy staff, good location
