Excelent stay in the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast from the menue on the terrace was very good. And mocktails was excelent - the best forever. Good location everything in walking distance.

Vacation became extra special because I had chosen this amazing place to stay in. GOLDEN ORCHID has everything that a family trip needs. Extremely comfortable beds with a pretty sitting area from where sunrise can be enjoyed. This place is also very near to the mall, just a walking distance while one can enjoy the cozy darjeeling. There's a lot of nearby food joints where a variety of food is available. Do not think twice if your you are lucky enough to get a booking here. Have a nice stay!!

Rooms were comfortable and fairly spacious for 2 people. Beds were electrically heated. Paul ji and his team were extremely courteous and ready to help anytime needed. The cafe/restaurant is well decorated and the food is quite good. The location is 5 mins walk from Mall. Overall, it was a pleasant and delightful stay.

Electric kettles should be provided.

The behaviour of the manager and staff are very nice. The service of the hotel is also good. The hotel has a carpeted floor which is very good in the cold.

The hotel is located very high. It was very difficult for us to walk from the club side taxi stand to the hotel. Although the hotel rooms are ventilated, it is a bit inconvenient as there are no windows. The price of food here is a bit high but the quality is good.

The facilities were amazing, the geyser worked, there were many complementary goodies, and the heated mattresses were god-sent. The rooms were clean, and so was the hotel. Beds were also spacious.

The room we stayed in (delux family room) on the second floor had no view. The hotel, though on the main city center, you have to climb a steep road to get to it initially. The breakfast service was very slow although good food. Just wished they had a hair dryer so you don't get stuck with soaking wet hair in a very cold region.

There’s some renovation going on at their second floor and when I went to manager to talk about he rudely said yeah it will be like this until 7pm, there will be noise. also early morning and late night so much noise from other room guests and hotel staffs

Overall service was good. The manager Paul has good behaviour and he sends a guy to find his property. I'm satisfied.

They did not accept the international cards.

Mountain view Room was specious and windows view was great.Every staff of the hotel was very friendly. Mr. Paul the owner of the hotel was very helpful and friendly. Food was little bit costly but also tasty and easily served in room.

The property has an excellent view from its studio.

The cars normally don’t have permits to enter that road. But the max you need to walk is 200 meter (2 min) and the owner was excellent with directions which helped me overcome any struggles with location. He was so helpful about everything.

If you have lift facility, the stay would have been very comfortable.

Good location as close to the main chowrasta. friendly staff and helpful. One of the best places for food and the cafe was a beautiful spot. amazing coffee as well. But there were a few downsides as well. a lot of street noise as the room was very close to a carpenter shop. there was a water motor running close to the room in the night. no phone reception in the hotel but good wifi. since it was monsoon, we came with wet clothes. And sadly, no heating service was available and clothes stayed wet for the whole duration. When asked about heating or iron service, they provided a hair dryer to dry clothes but that also didn’t work. Laundry service was outsourced and was extremely expensive. The room was very humid and due to the humidity our dry clothes inside our bags were wet and stinking right afterwards. There was a toilet right next to the door so it smelled of toilet while entering the room. The washroom also smelled bad. The electric blanket did keep us warm though. Overall, call the hotel before booking the room and dont take the ones on the ground floor and check the room before paying.

Starting about the location. Its near the mall chowrasta. Didn't expect the hotel to be so good at this value. Room sizewise was big enough, had bed warmer too. The food was also very good, at reasonable price. Staff were so polite and mainly Mr. Paul, the manager was extremely helpful. We had a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend to friend and family.

Guest pickup from cab stand would have been a bit helpful as cars don't reach to hotel doorstep.

The studio room we opted for was very beautiful and comfortable with 2 double beds, a kitchen and a beautiful mountain view.The other room we stayed in was very comfortable as well. Staff was very helpful, Manager Paul arranged a cab for sightseeing as well. We ordered 1 lunch and 1 breakfast, very tasty and fresh food was served. Last but not least prices were budget friendly.

Only drawback is this place is need to walk uphill with the luggage.

The staff are lovely and I have to thank management for upgrading me to a larger room because it was free at the time. An electric blanket in the room was a nice touch as it can get a bit chilly up in Darjeeling. This place is very walkable to everything in town. Within this price range, there's nothing to fault, really.

For some guests, the noise from the restaurant might be a bit much. However, this shuts down early enough and then everything's very peaceful.

The best part was the restaurant and lounge which also had a guitar and dotara. Food was good and the ambience exceptional.

Size of rooms and bathrooms could be bigger and cleaner.
