Really good location with good vibes, shared facilities were great.

The bathroom tends to block easily because of the sands people bring from the beach.

I had an amazing stay at Tatahi Cove Backpackers and I can't wait to go back. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The place was clean, cozy, and felt just like home.The kitchen and common areas were well-maintained and spacious, and the garden was such a lovely spot to relax with a morning coffee. It's also just a short walk to the beach, which made it perfect for enjoying a swim.I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway close to nature. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Perfect location for access to Cathedral Cove, Blackwater Beach and food/eating options.

We were a little confused about being at the correct place. Signage was for the resort. So we weren’t sure if the backpacker part of it (that we were booked for) was the same place.

Only one bathroom and one shower. Can get busy in the morning.

Location was ideal - walking distance to Cathedral Cove. Short drive to Hot Water Beach. Kitchen was well equipped

Staff was little let down and did not find value for money when cheaper airbnb are easily available We requested for a shower at 12 noon which was denied

Small room, no table space or place to put items easily. Had to keep the window open to keep the room cool, which is fine except it only opens to one size and it’s large enough that a person could come into the room especially since it faces the parking lot and is in the first floor.

Felt that it needed more than one bathroom for 4 rooms of 2 people each. Shared bathroom also wasn’t clean, I know his isn’t the fault of the workers but rather guests also.

It's in a great location right in the village centre next to shops and food outlets and not far from the beach. It's a very well-appointed backpackers' lodge with extensive and tasteful sitting areas both inside and out and well-equipped communal kitchen. The bedroom was pleasant and the bed comfortable.

It's not the easiest place to find. You won't see a sign to Tatahi Cove Back Packers, but it's actually part of the Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort, and it's their reception where you need to check in. It's just behind the Hahei Eatery.

Great location, rooms were lovely.

Not great as a hostel. Surprised with the very lazy cleaning. Kitchen wasn't looked after, dirty tea towels weren't replaced and the sink sponge was very old. Taps and toilets hadn't been deep cleaned in a while. At this premium price we did expect more attention to detail.

Great location, right on the cathedral cove trail. Several yummy eating establishments next door. Cute and comfy. Loved that towels were provided.

The location is superb, very close to the restaurants and shops complex in Hahei. The beach is 5 minutes walk away and the walkway to Cathedral Cove literally passes outside the doorstep. The place including the beautiful gardens was very peaceful. The room was basic but functional. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The price was very affordable. Parking in the premises was free. There was no noice at night, very good and silent fan inside room.

The kitchen could do with some renovation. The cleaning of the room and showers/toilets was just ok, not great. The outdoor seating and table areas needed some cleaning.

Great location close to everything, sights, beautiful beach, shops, restaurants. Very beautiful garden, common area and big very well equipped kitchen. We definitely can recommend to stay there.

Quiet hot inside the room during summer time, it would be nice if there were electric fans available.

Comfortable beds friendly bunch of people staying there

Couches/sofas very uncomfortable need replacing and some people were keeping people awake way after 10pm
