Ahipara Bay Motel

The veiws but our room 3 was not one of the best veiws but it did hav a veiw of beach cos best rooms were all booked up.the proximity to beach.plus let's not forget the in hs restaurant...beautifull food and fantastic veiws out to ocean.vry romantic

Well the toilet seat was broken at bac on one side tht needs fixing and there was part of the curtains in bedroom missing which was bit weird cos there's houses behind that can see in at night aircon was a joke didn't even get cool.anfan not strong enuf

Beautiful view from our room. Very clean and the cleaners were so friendly. In particular we had a lovely conversation with Ms Busby. The markets just below and walking distance to the beach from the motel was easy accessible.

My husband mentioned that the rooms weren't noise protected so was able to hear what was happening in the rooms either side of us. I didn't hear anything so wasn't aware.

Great location and spacious room. Ocean view from the room. They gave us the corner room (11) with an extra large patio. Would definitely book again.

Excellent Location. Roomy and comfy beds. Great they had beautiful big beach towels that you could use to take to the beach free of charge .

Super close to beach, across street, walkable. Room with small patio faced sunset. Onsite dinner restaurant was great, good value.

Everything was great!

This motel is a charmer with amazing views of a beautiful beach cove. It has everything you need for a beautiful stay. There is an on-site restaurant that looked delicious, however we did not eat there. Sorry we bought takeaway. We would definitely stay there longer if we returned to the area.

Bathroom was a little iffy. Lots of cobwebs and mould in shower due to no ventilation

We loved the whole vibe. The location was amazing. You couldn't get any better. Staff were friendly and easily approachable. The restaurant ? food was 20/10. Would differently recommend this place

Location, location. Stunning views of the beach.The sound of the surf was wonderful...after living many years and many miles away from the coast it was a joy to hear that sound again .Super friendly staff, only too willing to engage in conversation regarding the area.The meal in the upstairs restaurant was superb, one of the best fish meals ever..

Nice 2 bed single bed for my kids and good for family

I like everything but only 1 things is pillows no good is to is too soft and I need 4 pillow only my self. But everything good thank you for let me stay I can wait for my next holiday.

Nothing really

A super experience! This stay made our trip to New Zealand: Outstanding kind people taking care of the guests!! The restaurant is one of the best we came to know in the Pacific hemisphere. Excellent food and good wines!!! Be assured this marvellous encounter will be rooted deeply in our hearts! Thank you 1000 times, you wonderful staff! Location was terrific overlooking the bay. Very quiet during the night. had enough in the room for us to get by ok.

The unit we were in had all the basics that we needed but decor was very tired and overdue for a refit. no cooling system apart from a tower fan and we struggled to keep it cool on a very warm night we were there. The other units did appear to be of a better standard than the one we had. suggest you get photos of your actual room when booking

Enjoy the location of this motel, great views from our room. The owners were on holiday when we stayed this time but the lady managing the motel was amazing, helpful and friendly, made us feel special. The on-site bar/restaurant food and service was top class, a lovely relaxing dining experience. We will always stay here when visiting Ahipara and Kaitaia.
