Not the hotel but make sure you have bug spray handy the sand flies are bad

Quiet, clean, comfortable. Really appreciated the complimentary laundry room - washer/dryer - and clothesline. Dedicated parking space. Really enjoyed the wonderful, private path to the beach across the street from the motel. Owners were very responsive, helpful and kind.

Only show in town

Owner was weirdly hostile / defensive / rude. In the wrong business.Room had an odor and was too hot (AC didn't work and was super loud + sand flies get in through the screen so couldn't really keep the window open despite the screen). Did the trick for 1 night passing through but regretted not just going straight through to Wanaka.Note that the WIFI is unreliable AND there is NO CELL SERVICE at the location (we both had local SIM cards)

Spacious and well equipped. Ultra clean and modern. Easy walk to the beach. Nice laundry facilities, bbq and parking on site. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating! They went the extra mile!! Pleasantly surprised at how modern and comfortable this motel is…we had a great stay!

Haast Beach Motel is super clean, comfortable and conveniently located not too far from the main road and across the road from the beach. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

This motel is perfectly placed just a tad bit outside of the center of Haast. Beach combing is outstanding. Our room was immaculate and had very comprehensive amenities. Self catered laundry facility is included in your room rate, which was very much appreciated.

This little hotel was a great surprise. The staff were so nice and we could walk on the beach that evening. The beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed

Honestly the pictures don’t do it justice.. it was well located for us. The apartment was very well stocked, welcoming with great furniture. The beach across the road was perfect for sunset viewing. Loved all of it.

I loved the location and how clean and well thought out the room was. Drinking clean water without chemicals straight from the tap was a treat.

Is it possible to have too hot of a shower? We had to be careful with the shower temperature.

Room appeared to have been recently renovated. Very pristine and well provisioned. Heating worked well. Hotel is right across the road from a fantastic beach.

What a little hidden gem! Cute, clean and warm with a very comfortable bed.The beach over the road is stunning (though you can't see it from the room).Karsten at the desk was very welcoming. It's a quick and easy drive to the town, which has at least two restaurants to choose from.

Nothing to note

I loved the location right on the beach. The hosts are wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. The property was scrupulously clean and convenient. The weather was very changeable and it was great fun to see the beach and mountains differently every day. We were there for a whole week and it suited us perfectly. The driftwood on the beach was unbelievably sculptural. The location was central to several nice walks and drives.

Magical location. Do not stay in Haast Township when visiting the coast….this is the place to stay. The beach is incredible, so remote and peaceful. The room is ideal and the bathroom is lovely too. Very clean and welcoming.

Everything is nice and clean, and the kitchen has everything we need.

There is only one thing that upstairs the bedroom, the right twin bed. That was a little annoying because the door may be loose, so the wind comes from the windows that i can't tight it up keep making noise. So I gotta to move to downstairs bed.
