The hotel staff was professional and tried their best to resolve a critical reservation error caused by Booking.com.

Booking.com failed to transmit my full 3-night reservation. Upon arrival on New Year's Eve with my wife and two young children, the hotel only had us in for 1 night. The most disgraceful part was the complete lack of customer support — I received zero response to my emergency messages during the entire crisis.

The staff generally are friendly and helpful.

The Hotel is kind of old, my first day check in, the room has one kind of mouldy smell, but the hotel is kind enough to change the room for us the next day. (first day they claim all rooms are fully booked)

I booked a suite intended for three guests, but the hotel only permitted two to stay, which was disappointing. More concerningly, on the second night of our stay, a hotel staff member entered our room late at night using a key card without prior notice or permission. This incident was a serious breach of privacy and made us feel extremely uncomfortable.

The hotel was responsive to our requests and messages. Special thanks to Ms. Rachel and the reception for accomodating to our request to cancelling one night for one of the 8 rooms we booked. They were accomodating to our needs.The Club King Rooms is big and clean. The housekeeping personnel left personalised notes and this makes us feel welcomed. The location is near to major shopping malls and some of the shops/cafes nearby close late near or past midnight.

The entrance and lobby look impressive, but don’t let it fools you.

Very bad smell, not clean, not maintainedold and stinky.Staff don’t know English, tell you yes yes but they don’t understand what you say.

Booked 5 night's stay at this hotel because of its good location. There is a large modern shopping mall -MIXC within 5-10 minutes' walk, behind the hotel. The buffet breakfast is good with a mix of Shantou and western cuisines. The hotel staffs are helpful, especially the duty manager who had assisted us to change the room to non-smoking room and had a large air purifier placed in the new room after we feedback.

There is always bit of mouldy smell in the rooms and the corridors. It's also very peculiar that the toilet door in the rooms cannot be locked. Was checked into a smoking room even though we have specifically requested for non-smoking.

Vicky at reception was very helpful and gave us free vouchers to the bar and a nice upgrade !

The executive floor hospitality.

Construction around the area & hence the less appealing view. The "sea view" is especially disappointing.

The staff were not very friendly. They don’t greet guests. The staff during the check-in was not very helpful.

The friendliness of the staff who were also very helpful when I needed to find superglue to give a quick-fix for a broken luggage handle.

The property is a bit aged in terms of its outlook.

The staff are polite and helpful, room is clean, it would be great if they could replace the mattress regularly.

Breakfast was fair. Staff was friendly and helpful or may be we ate at the executive floor.

The bell boy was not very polite. We had two rooms because we travelled with friends and he just randomly put the languages into the rooms without asking us while we were standing next to him.

Location was great & food/shops were easily accessible by walking, close to hotel. Reception staff were very friendly, helpful & caring.Room was very comfortable & clean.
