Holiday Inn Express Shantou City Center By IHG

I like the car park in the basement which was very convienient and most importantly, it's free. Breakfast was wonderfull ! Unforgetable. Staff were very helpful and friendly

Breakfast spreads are good.Self-service laundry.Staffs are friendly.

Location is not central.

Good location and nice size of room with sofas.

Nil

Clean and staff are polite

Very strategic location to town centre and train station

Breakfast was good. Supermarket, fresh market nearby.Local restaurant nearby was great!

location on Google map and Booking is different, use location on Booking is accurate.

Big and clean family room.

The two lifts/elevators were rather slow moving. The one and only coffee machine at the breakfast area was slow and gave plenty of problems, resulting in daily long queue to get a cup of coffee. Room windows faces someone else's home. No view whatsoever. Must keep curtains drawn at all times.

Good location. The Breakfast is good. Our room was twin bedroom, I very like the 2 sofas' design.

The door makes very noisy when closing.

Cleanliness and supportive staff

Breakfast options were limited for a vegetarian from India especially

Quite and great location.

The lights and embien of the room was too dark.

The room was VERY spacious and the staff friendly! The rooms are also clean and if asked, the staff will provide you with a mini fridge. The bed was quite big and very comfy too! A breakfast buffet was also included and had a wide variety to offer. The hotel itself also has a room to wash and dry your clothes and a small gym (although it doesn’t have air conditioning…).

The location seems a bit further away from the center but this is more due to Shantou‘s weird infrastructure.I had to switch room twice because once the air conditioning was broken and once I hurt my left foot due to the parquet floor being uneven and revealing sharp edges. The hotel also deducted our expenses twice by mistake and when they transferred us the money back we lost almost RMB 80 due to the conversion and transaction fee, which the hotel refused to take responsibility for although it was absolutely their fault for causing this unnecessary costs.

Location and previous HIE hotels

Small reception area, steep incline for luggage.

convenient location, with plenty of good restaurants and markets in the area

The room could have been a little bit cleaner

Bad

Very disappointing! Lost something valuable in the room, reception asked the manager to come over and she said we need to take care of our things more carefully! In our room! So rude! A very unserviceable approach. We Will never come back again.

Family room was thankfully smoke free. Proximity to restaurants within walking distance ?. We enjoyed delicious crab and lobster porridge just few minutes walk away. Highly recommended !

There is no refrigerator in the family room. Airconditioner was not working (switched off due to season?)...this made the room very hot and humid on our 1st night stay. Weather improved and the 2nd night was much better.

Good location, nice breakfast.

Wifi.could be better. Too slow

It was a relatively comfortable stay

It is above a market, could hear the meat cleaver cutting the meat from the 3rd floor. Began at 6:7am in the morning and disturbed our sleep

Day time staff is helpful. Room is spacious.

The restaurant recommended by staff. They are lack of city knowledge and had incorrect recommendations about bar and authentic Chiu chow restaurant.

next door is residential can see from windows

far from the city

Kids friendly facilities, clean, comfortable, abundant and value-added breakfast.,
