    Pros +

    • It was relaxed, clean and affordable. Rafting on the river was very nice with about 20 rapids.
    • [OFF SEASON] Joe the caretaker was fabulous, kind, and accommodating. A gorgeous spot, with tons of kittens and great river views.
    • The camp is located directly at the Tara river - so beautiful! When we were there it was kind of rainy. The common room, which was heated when it started to get colder, and the big campfire where great places to hang out, play games and talk to other guests and the lovely team. Alen welcomed us and helped us with everything we wanted to do, including paddling the Tara river, which was a wonderful and fun experience. I definetly want to come back!!

    Cons -

    • Beds were separate.
    • [OFF SEASON] we were glad to find a place open while bike touring. But the listing should be updated for the off season-- to reflect that the restaurant is closed, and no markets are nearby. The heat was turned on a few hours before we arrived, but due to freezing temperatures, it took about 12 hours for the room to really warm up. Again, an off season issue to be aware of-- The place is more or less shut down.
    • The bed creaked on every movement and as the rooms weren't soundproofed we could also hear our neighbours' beds too.

Our stay at the camp near the Tara River in Montenegro was nothing short of magical. The location was serene and peaceful, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The natural beauty surrounding the camp was breathtaking, with the river providing a stunning backdrop. The food at the camp was exceptional. Every meal was a delight, with fresh and delicious dishes that left us wanting more. The activities offered were thrilling and unforgettable. From rafting on the Tara River to exploring the nearby trails, every moment was filled with excitement and adventure. The camp provided all the necessary equipment and guidance, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the camp manager (Alan). He was incredibly friendly and accommodating, waiting for us even though we arrived late. He even offered us a meal upon our arrival, which was a very kind gesture.Overall, our experience at the camp near the Tara River was fantastic. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with great food, exciting activities, and exceptional hospitality.

A stunning location to get away from it all. We were there in September and there were very few other guests. It felt like a private paradise. The terrace by the restaurant has great river views. Great home cooked food, buffet style for breakfast and dinner. Lovely campfire.

The bed creaked on every movement and as the rooms weren't soundproofed we could also hear our neighbours' beds too.

The camp is in a stunning location right by the Tara River with a little swimming spot by the restaurant. The views are gorgeous and you get such a sense of peace and isolation. The staff are very friendly and helpful with excellent English, especially the rafting guides who are really professional. We did the long rafting trip and I would highly recommend. The kitchen catered so well to our vegan diet, especially for dinner. You can expect a vegetable stew, rice and coleslaw/salad. The portions are absolutely huge! We also enjoyed seeing all the kittens running around and playing around the restaurant ?

To get to the camp, you have to turn off the main road in between the police checkpoint and the Bosnian border control. The road can be tight with all the traffic and rafting trailers. The final 2km to the camp is a narrow rocky track - you don't need a 4x4, but it feels a little bumpy at times! Also, breakfast and dinner are at set times and we felt that 9pm was a bit later for dinner. Other than that, everything was great!

Little paradise near the river. We had a great time, our cabin was comfortable bedroom and seperate bathroom.Nice seats sitting outside. Going down the stairs to the river and restaurant overlooking the gorge. The food, breakfast lunch and dinner was very nice all home cooked at the premise. All the crew members were friendly and helpfully. Our rafting down the river was an fantastic experience. The road to the camp was mostly asphalt only gravel for a few kilometres.

Nature, beautiful Tara river, hospitality, restaurant, not sure where to start. We were there with two children under 3, and we managed to rest. I think that is the best description. We love it, we will come back definitely.

Awesome spot for rafters and kayakers to hang out, very peaceful by the river and the food was delicious.

Food timing was 9am for breakfast and 9pm for dinner. Abit later than I would’ve preferred but still delicious ☺️Not much to complain about really.

Stunning location, really friendly owners and staff, great food. We stayed in the quadruple room - simple, basic but comfortable. The activities were excellent and we just really couldn't fault the place or the experience. Would highly recommend

    Beautiful location, great staff!

The prices are quite high in comparison to the rest of the country. 5€! For a bottle of water, for example.

We loved this place surrounded by nature. We enjoyed the tranquility of the place and some of the many activities that was possible to do (we did hiking and rafting). Kind and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Nice location, friendly staff and good food for dinner. They made a vegetarian option even though we did not request it beforehand.

Everything was great, one tip: our cabin was roght next to the barrier to get on the camp site. Lots of people left their car running while searching for the reception. Maybe put a sign near the barrier to make clear where the reception is located and to ask people to turn off their car while waiting.

The food is good : big portion and nice flavorThe atmosfere at the night around the fire reminds scout experiencesThe place is next to the river, really charming and a place to disconnect.

It's a little bit difficult to arrive to the place (stones road) but at the end the view and the quietness are worthy. Perfect for one or two days :)

Great location at the river bank. Quiet, beautiful and lots of space and also possibilities for outdoor activities. You can do rafting, e bike tours, hiking and much more. Also if you like to just relax in peace and swim in crystal clear water, than this camp is a good place

Great food and staff! They really made us feel at home. The facility is surrounded by the most beautiful nature. We hope to come back again even if it's a really looooong ride. Of all the campsites in the area, we recommend this one.
