Top Tips
- Reserve your hotel room at least 60 days in advance for University of Tennessee home game weekends, as West Knoxville and Farragut hotels frequently fill up and nightly rates can rise by 25-45%. Booking early improves your chance to secure your preferred rate and availability.
- Select hotels within 0.5 to 3 miles of Turkey Creek to access over 200 shops and restaurants, reducing local driving time for errands or dining to 3-6 minutes. Many hotel chains here include complimentary breakfast; confirm details with your property.
- Expect to need a car during your stay in Farragut, as public transit is limited. Typical drive times are 15-25 minutes to downtown Knoxville and 20-30 minutes to McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS). Most hotels offer free onsite parking for guests.
- Choose chain hotels in Farragut to avoid daily parking charges that are common downtown. Many offer free self-parking, while parking lots or garages in downtown Knoxville typically cost $15 to $30 per day. Review your hotel’s parking policy before arrival.
- Request a room facing away from I-40 or Kingston Pike, or opt for a higher floor, to reduce road noise. Noise reduction is often most noticeable on upper floors or on the opposite side of the highway.
- Always confirm your total nightly price includes all Tennessee state and local occupancy taxes, as these can add 8-12% to nightly rates. Review the final price breakdown on your booking platform to avoid unexpected charges.
- If you require accessible features such as step-free access, roll-in showers, or visual alarms, request these specifics directly with the hotel and reconfirm them 72 hours before your stay to ensure proper assignment.
