Pros +
- The view of the Bay was beautiful, despite looking at a construction site. The staff was friendly, but more apologetic probably because the condition of the hotel.
- Across from the pub, great water view
- I loved being woken up by the sheep and chickens. Moby's pub across the street was the perfect place for a pint at sunset.
Cons -
- Massive renovation going on during the peek 2017 summer season. Our room was old and smelled. The shower door fell off its hinges. The new "modern" style construction is a poor fit for Saltspring Island. Staff refunded half of money for our inconvenience.
- No wifi in the room and on Friday morning People were working on the construction of The hotel so pretty noisy and no phone in the room and breakfast we looked and when we Saw muffins in plastic boxes and it was in the Reception area not nice
- No phone in room, silverfish running around bathroom floor, filthy carpets, zero personality/customer service from desk clerk, one portion of coffee in a mason jar?

If you're not facing the harbour the view is of a parking lot.
The hotel has great potential but did not live up to it.
Understaffed. Long line to check in or out. At the organic breakfast they were out of everything with only one cook and one waitress for a full house. No one answers the phone, always went to voice mail.
It was conveniently located.
I felt that it did not meet expectations in light of the manner in which they advertise especially farm2table regaling their organic farm and giving the impression of fresh and healthy. Overcooked greasy eggs and bacon didn't do it. No fresh fruit.

Location
There was no hot water one day and the next day the water was a funky yellow cloud
Clean and new facility. The front desk agent, Natasha was so welcoming and accommodating. She made her best to change our room to the room with view. We also got a welcome gift from the hotel as well. I highly recommended.

Location, quality cleanliness room size very comfortable bed quiet
The restaurant attached was mediocre and was more of a pub environment and food selection was limited. No choice but to stare at a huge TV
The bed was comfortable and the location was convenient.
The reception staff was particularly unfriendly, didn't give us a feeling of welcome, and didn't engage us in conversation about being at Salt Spring, or at the hotel. I paid 500.00 for one night's stay for a deluxe room and the view was over the back flat roof toward the parking lot. We didn't have a balcony as every other unit did. This was definitely not a "deluxe" room.
Beautiful hotel overlooking the harbour. Rooms were very comfortable and clean and the staff very friendly. Great location to restaurants and shops, just a short walk!
location, size of room (King), patio off room
I was suprised at the poor quality of the bed sheets. The duvet cover was fine; the top and bottom sheets were very worn polyester. For a property of this quality (and price) I would expect cotton or at least 80/20 cotton blend
Disappointing
View of parking lot at “Harbour House”.Front patio drinks service closed at 7 pm.
Well kept property, very clean. I did not see anything about the brunch inclusion (weekend only) which was a nice surprise with a good selection. Nespresso machine was good with liquid creamer, not powder. Hotel was very quiet.
Our party had 4 people staying in 1 room with 2 beds. The room was outfitted for 2 people with 2 robes, 2 sets of towels, 2 coffee cups etc. We are easy going people and didn’t necessarily need all the extra amenities (took turns using coffee cups) etc. When I mentioned upon check-out when asked how the stay was, it may be something for them to consider the gentleman told me I could ask for things we needed. For paying north of $500 for a single night, that didn’t sit right with me that we needed to ask for basic amenities like enough towels for everyone to shower. Is that not part of the inflated cost when booking for 4 people as opposed to two, that you are paying for more coffee, more towels etc? Also, while there was an ice machine on the main floor there were no buckets or bags to transport it.
The location is ideal to walk to the center.
for the price ((495.00), it didnt include breakfast and the room view was the back parking lot overlooking the asphalt roof. I expected a room with a view and breakfast for that price.
Very comfortable beds, nice quality bed linens, large walk-in shower, beautiful view of the harbour, air conditioned, good restaurant
Contemporary hotel with old school charm. Really enjoyed our stay. Warmly greeted by staff & got gift bag at check in (water/cookie/other treats). Nice touch.
hotel ,cleanness and breakfast was amazing
the front desk staff could try to be more smiley and happy. the restaurant staff were realy nice
