    Pros +

    • Breakfast was average, lots of breads and not lots of things to put inside the bread, the location of the hotel is nice in El Gouna, the room was not really up to our expectations, with no terrace, not even a balcony, no view, and we thought we booked a suite for the purpose to have an amazing experience but it was fine, not amazing, the beach unfortunately is dirty, it could make a difference if the lifeguards just hold a net and remove the plastic bags from the water every now and then, it could make a big difference
    • Cleanness, relaxing atmosphere, and good crowd
    • The resort is very pristine, has a great waterfront. The staff are very friendly and always looking to service you. Time and again, they kept checking on us. The gym, spa and other facilities are clean and well maintained. There are two restaurants in the property and both have excellent food. The breakfast spread is not very expansive but it was good. The GM Philip and activities coordinator Michael were both helpful. They helped us book a private boat tour and snorkeling trip. This was a very surreal experience. We got to see Dolphins and enjoyed the Red Sea.

    Cons -

    • Already mentioned above that the beach was dirty unfortunately and our room had zero view/ no balcony/ no terrace even though we booked a suite, in room dining is not good at all/ we stay in lots of luxury hotels so we have plenty to compare it with and they still need lots to be improved
    • There was NOTHING about this resort or the facilities not to like! Amazing place! You can try to look for something to dislike if you want. Good luck!! Be sure to get a relaxing massage in the beautiful spa!
    • The hotel’s food and service are lacking, especially considering the price. The staff needs a significant improvement in both service quality and food options. The spa experience was particularly disappointing due to the inappropriate behavior of the staff.

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful hotel/resort for one week. The only thing wrong with our stay was that we could not stay another week! The staff here! Unbelievable! They are so helpful and sincerely go out of their way to make your stay the best possible experience it can be. They succeeded! Khaled was the first person we met at the hotel. He offered us a drink as soon as we sat down and served us some very good wine before he joined us, went over, in detail, everything about our reservation, where to eat, what activities were going on and answered any questions we had. So professional, helpful and courteous! We also met Mahmoud, who was also extremely helpful during our stay. First impressions were, to say the least, VERY good!! Mohammed Hussein prepared our room and went above and beyond, providing the best service. You’ll see when you come back to your room and see the beautiful “artwork” on your bed! Milanya Magad was our hostess every morning at breakfast. Do yourself a favour and be sure you meet her! She was so helpful and answered every question we had about the resort as well as things to do outside the resort, including the nearby Downtown area and “The Marina”, a very new area full of shops, restaurants and great spots for enjoying the nightlife. Tahia and Martina were our amazing masseuses at the spa. Be sure to book a massage there in their beautiful facility. All in all, one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. This is a place you have to visit if you truly want to rest, relax and revitalise. The Chedi El Gouna Hotel/Resort is a must-see and a must-do! For sure!

There was NOTHING about this resort or the facilities not to like! Amazing place! You can try to look for something to dislike if you want. Good luck!! Be sure to get a relaxing massage in the beautiful spa!

Our stay at The Chedi El Gouna was amazing. The hotel is beautifully designed calm, minimal, and luxurious in a very elegant way. The service was exceptional, everyone was kind and helpful from the moment we arrived. The beach and pool areas are perfect for relaxing, and the breakfast was excellent with many fresh options. Everything felt peaceful and well thought out. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet luxury escape in El Gouna.

    Restaurants, swimming pools, gym, everything

No sound proof between rooms. You can hear the employees out of the room. Maintenance was going and it was annoying.

    2FloransePosted on: 7-11-2025

Close to the beach and downtown

I had to change my room because of the smoke then second day I had to ask to fix my AC. Then second night I to ask to fix it again and drain my shower

    10AlexandrePosted on: 4-28-2025

We enjoyed very much our stay in this hotel, the kindness of the staff, the attention to details. Moreover the food is absolutely delicious from breakfast, beach house to Nihon restaurant.

    8SuzannePosted on: 3-9-2025

The hotel breakfasts, the pool, the Japanese restaurant, the very friendly and helpful staff and the macarons upon arrival

We were given twin beds instead of a king size bed which we believed we had booked so this was a little disappointing

    10StuartPosted on: 3-6-2025

Great location, well maintained, lovely staff, superb food - half-board was good value for money. Mohammed managed our room and made sure we had everything we needed, and more. Can’t recommend highly enough and will definitely visit again.

Maybe include some English-speaking TV channels (OSN & sport BEIN).

I had a really nice stay at The Chedi El Gouna. The hotel is beautifully designed with a calm and minimalist atmosphere, making it a great place to relax. Everything feels well thought out, from the spacious rooms to the quiet pool areas. The staff were friendly and professional, always helpful but never intrusive. The food was good, especially the breakfast, with a nice variety of fresh options. The location is also great—peaceful but still easy to get around. What stood out the most was the overall sense of space and tranquility. It never felt crowded, and there were plenty of spots to unwind, whether by the pool or at the beach. If you're looking for a quiet, well-designed place to recharge, this is a great option. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at The Chedi, everything from the generous breakfast, the staff, the on-site spa, the well kitted out gym to the overall elegant look and feel of the hotel. The staff were very communicative and paid attention to the little details. A very relaxing spot to unwind and located very close to the Downtown so you can venture out if you feel like it. Would definitely come back here

Great facilities with friendly staff and great beach

    10CarolinePosted on: 2-19-2025

The staff was faultless in every regard, personable, ultra polite, extremely helpful and so very kind. The hotel is beautiful and the location is stunning. Breakfast was everything anybody can wish for

The restaurants, apart from the good beach restaurant were ok . The Japanese was not good at all. Staff was great . It was the food that was just not good enough.
