    Pros +

    • Breakfast and dinner were excellent, staff was friendly, attentive and very professional, everything was clean, inviting and exceptional
    • Modern, stylish and well run hotel in a prime location in Soma Bay.
    • - Great location on the coral reef- Sauna- Beautiful room- Yoga course possible

    Cons -

    • The rooms could benefit from a chair
    • A coffee making device in the room would have been nice.
    • - broken toilets - no genuine commercial gesture (3 apples offered, no room change or upgrade, the staff came with tools for 2 hours at night to fix it while we were in bed)- Water bottle given at check in - 16€ charged if lost, someone stole mine while swimming- don’t use it if you have your own bottle- Price of food - similar to Paris- Authenticity - you get 90% German food- Diving - Great but expensive, 30% more expensive than Sharm el Naga for same environment- Taxi - you are locked once in soma bay, you can’t organize your transportation. So taxi organized by the hotel is mandatory to leave the place, 10x more expensive than what is paid elsewhere- Food poisoning - Caught tourista from the buffet food or water- Checkout time is written as 12pm on booking.com but the room was locked at 11am. The “breakers time” is their own hotel time, 1h ahead so you have to move 1h earlier- Bad gears - wing foil gears are old and low quality - prefer the non partnered, duotone wing spot in the Marina - reachable by foot, long walk but you don’t need to wait for the bus - Staff - welcoming except if you have a problem. Tends to make fun of you in that case. We needed to call the managers- Brand - the hotel is branded as sport but you’re not in Dakha, mainly German families there- Booking options - you can book for minimum 3 nights, not less - at least on booking

Design and size of rooms and facilities Amazing rooftop area with sauna, yoga, massage and barDecent variety and quality of foodReal! Aperol Spritz (imported alcohol)

A/C way too loud in rooms. It should really be replaced soon Very, very German (incl. guest structure)Swimming at beach not possible (reef)

The setting is beautiful, right in front of a jetty that takes you to the coral reef, and next to the diving base. You can enjoy a beautiful sunset from the roof-top bar. The atmosphere, among divers, kite-surfers and sport enthusiasts, is really a pleasure. The management is highly committed to the guests (the manager cooks for you), and so is the team, from cleaning to cooking and entertainment.

A bit pricey for Egypt, but the additional expense is worth the enjoyment. Alas, the crowd from the neighboring hotels is getting to be a real nuisance when you go snorkeling on the jetty, especially the packs of tourists that cannot swim and have no idea of how delicate is a coral reef. Try to stay clear of them, and help in containing if you can !

Location right at the reef , all watersports facilities immediately available. I went for Wing Foil school and was all easy to book and organize every day.

Prices for lessons as well as drinks , food in the hotel are on the higher side.

-it’s very clean and well maintained-next to the jetty for snorkeling and the corals were really beautiful there and even saw dolphins! The lagoon is nice for just regular swimming and chilling-egyptian staff were polite and very attentive-the room I got was very spacious

-during announcments they only spoke in german and no English, which shows that non-german guests are not welcome -coffee and tea were not included in the breakfast buffet and their prices are over the top compared to nearby hotels like a cup of coffee is 200egp- food was overcooked, no variation, dessert and breakfast were exactly the same everyday -personally I got lots of stares from either some of the staff or the guests as I was only the only Arab there

    7AlinaPosted on: 6-28-2025

On the plus side:- cozy bouquet boho vibe- very responsive & courteous personnel - nice refreshing pool

On the downside:- occasional room hiccups (A/C & safe box)- on 2 separate occasions found hairs in the food- found a roach crawling by the salad station

Low key, welcoming, high standards, not part of an international hotel chain.

    There’s nothing to dislike…

    10VictoriaPosted on: 4-20-2025

Beautifully decorated big room, facilities were always clean, staff was friendly.I really liked that you get a metal bottle (no plastic) and can refill it with cold drinking water whenever you like. The food was outstanding. Nice sunbeds at the beach. The hotel is located right next to a dive school and has a beautiful house reef, where you can also go snorkelling.

    Location is very good

The food was very bad and I got sick from The dinner, the staff unfriendly and there is a delay all the time

    9AhmedPosted on: 4-7-2025

Excellent location and views of the beach! Very smooth check in and out and the staff are super friendly and helpful.

    9LucaPosted on: 3-11-2025

Perfect location, right next to Orca dive base, beautiful coral reef and very convenient both for snorkeling and diving. Friendly staff all over the property, well maintained (recently renovated)

The food is very satisfactory, varied, local and very well organized, but may profit from tailoring from an expert to get to "exceptional" level

It's an amazing hotel! Very simple and the staff are very nice. The hotel is very cozy, with a spacious room overlooking the sea and you can watch the sunrise every morning from your balcony, or actually from your bed! This was my second visit to the hotel, and it was very hard to leave such a lovely place! I extended my stay 3 times. Having the diving center in the hotel makes it even a bonus and more of a reason to stay and dive more. I highly recommend the hotel!

    10FelixPosted on: 12-23-2024

Clean, good service, good food, reef for snorkeling, diving base

Not necessarily bad but it's closed off from outside and doesn't feel like being in Egypt

    10svenPosted on: 12-16-2024

Very comfortable, clean and close to Jetty

    7RoxanaPosted on: 11-21-2024

Liked the offerings on site including yoga, gym , beauty and massages as well as the service to the Kitehouse

Some part of the property were quite old and not renovated (like the beauty salon ).

The staff are lovely and work very hard to make sure you have everything you need. I think without the level of attentiveness from the staff I would have rated the hotel lower than I have. I generally found the food to be pretty good (except the food poisoning half way through), lots of different options at Breakfast and Dinner. Again the staff in the restaurant including the chefs were amazing - incredibly attentive and remembered orders after the first evening and morning. Rooms were lovely and modern for the price, only issue I had are mentioned below but they are minor details.

Whilst I appreciate you aren't paying the same rates as the neighbouring Sheraton and Robinson, small things are missing from the hotel. No coffee machine or kettle in the rooms, extremely hard beds (they did put a comforter/duvet underneath as soon as I asked - again the staff were amazing!), no water fountain in the gym (and some very old equipment), no beach or access to the sea compared to the next door hotels (this may have been mentioned and I missed it). Also the prices in the bars are very expensive, London prices +. In addition, I got food poisoning from the restaurant which did ruin the trip but wasn't the end of the world. The staff at reception were great, however there was no contact from the general managers which made me more annoyed than the actual food poisoning. Considering this is a smaller hotel, I was surprised that no one from senior management even bothered to check everything was ok or wanted to know about it. Lastly the German Scuba Instructor/Manager at the Orca Reception was unnecessarily abrupt when I enquired about prices and how the diving works at the hotel - think he needs reminding that not everyone is a regular or German!

The room was new and clean. The buffet was good, mostly tailored to European tastes.

The hotel has inclusivity and communication issues. I do not advise any non-white non-family travellers to come here. I have never felt so discriminated against as an Asian female. This one waiter asked me to change a seat from where I wanted, refused to serve as I ordered or provide timely, and then rejected twice to cancel my order with the excuse that they had "The system". I talked to the restaurant manager to complain. But obviously, they are not going to make any essential changes to the hotel culture. The manager tried to "bribe" me with free drinks at the bar, but all I could wish for was no retaliation. It's difficult not to be afraid of retaliation or more trauma in this all-male environment. The hotel website malfunctions and no one contacted me after I submitted the contact form there. If you want to reach out to them through Booking.com, they might not respond. I asked about extending my stay, but they could not confirm any room availability. Unluckily, I left my charger in the room and realized after checkout. I had to make a phone call and then figured out they could not give it back because the reception had no key to the Lost& Found until the next morning.I booked this place because it is near the jetty for diving. However, there is no way to avoid going across the restaurant/ bar to reach the rocky beach from the hotel. It is quite embarrassing if you are an introvert or try to find some peace. At a special beach-side dinner, only 10-seat big tables were arranged. Waiters are too busy to pay attention to you. The music was too loud. Any non-white female solo traveller should definitely avoid staying here.I have stayed in cheaper hotels in Hurghada in Egypt. None of those had such bad service. The breakers is most likely living on German people's easy money. PS: don't get fooled by their no-plastic propaganda of using metal bottles when they have even no respect for people.

We stayed previously in 2019. Great facilities, delicious meals, and friendly staff. House Reef and Orca Dive center are right there. Super!

Avoided the expensive transfer fee from / to Hurghada Airport.
