The Grand Hotel, Hurghada

the man who cleaned our room 430, the beach, the pool, the food, plenty of food and variety, the toilet in the lobby and the man who worked in it, the people who greeted us when we came from outside, the reception, the man who helped us with our suitcases, marina 5, arabeska, the restaurant next to the reception.

Most of the restaurant staff and the most disastrous staff in the lobby, there was no air conditioning for heating in room 430 and it was very cold at night, the water for showers at night was cold, on booking it says that there is kettle for heating water and there was none, also on booking it says that there is an iron but there was none in our room.

I've seen a lot of reviews for this place that say it's shabby and old looking. We didn't find that at all. Having been to several all-inclusives in Cuba and the Dominican Republic, this one was top-notch comparably speaking.The grounds were nicely kept, everything was clean, and we enjoyed the vibe.They gave us a lovely upgraded room. There was fruit, water and cookies in the room for us. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The food was fantastic at the Arabesque restaurant and we didn't have any trouble getting service at the bar. If I had to be picky, the only thing I could say was that the pool was small considering the size of the resort. But to be fair, I don't think it mattered , there was nobody in the pool. Everybody was down at the beach as the water was warmer in the sea than the pool. The people around the pool were just suntanning and drinking. All of the staff was very friendly, and since we were there Christmas Eve, they had a special belly dancing show in the lobby which we really enjoyed.Check out was at noon and they were kind enough to store our luggage, and they let us keep our wristbands until 1:30 when we had to leave to catch our flight. I would happily come back here again.

Large sandy beach, all staff are friendly and helpful, delicious food, the place has a lot of gardens, this is my second visit and not the last.

Sea food restaurant at the beach changed to snacks, the room was smaller than previous year, there are some insects.

The location is excellent and the sandy beach is wonderful. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The facilities are a little bit old and could use some renovation , specially the air conditioning in both rooms and restorants.

The WiFi didn't work in our room send the TV didn't work

The staff are helpful and doing their best despite the very hot weather. There was a variety of restaurants and food. The restaurants are big so you don't feel that it's crowded. The beach is very nice.

The quality of the food is not the best, but it's ok given the price.

The staff is so decent and friendly, Variety of food with good taste. On the Marina Bar, there is a chef called Ano he did for us really a good tasty food with good portions. He is a very nice and decent person.

They need to take more care of the cleanliness of the rooms and the system of changing the beach towels is not convinient

Old style Egyptian hotel, needs some renovation. Only one small swimming pool, and small area for swimming in the sea, surrounded by boats. Grand hotel shares the territory with the grand palace hotel, but walking there is forbidden (but no information about it anywhere) … not very pleasant actually-being stopped by some bell boy.

Booking price was $89, but surprisingly I was charged 115 $!!!

I’ve been visiting this hotel for three years in a row now, and every year I’m impressed—but this year has shown a huge improvement, especially in the food and overall service. The rooms have been renovated, and although the air conditioning was still being updated during my stay, everything else was excellent. That’s the only reason I’m giving it a 9.5 out of 10 instead of a full score.The service was truly outstanding—both in the rooms and on the beach. One of the things I appreciated the most was the great care and attention given to people with special needs across the entire hotel. The only area I think could use improvement is the pool, which still needs to be made more accessible for them.Overall, a fantastic experience and I’ll definitely be coming back again.

The wonderful staff in the hotel made our stay amazing with a great pleasure and unforgettable experience. The food was varied and delicious, the room was clean and beautiful with excellent location of the hotel. Special thanks to Mr. Mohamed Moawad and his team who were very friendly and doing their best to make us happy. The hotel provided us a lunch box on check out we really appreciate this. We will certainly be back to this hotel.

That if I want something some staff doesn’t see me if I’m not waving with TIP and it been worse from year to year I have a bartender that always see me and before I go home I always do something for Jim and his family.
