Cons -
- This is not a five-star hotel, I am sorry. The shower was good but the tap was broken and not working well. The bed was too firm to me. We had a room at the ground floor near the entrance and were awakened in the morning by people talking in the corridor. The breakfast was very basic, with additional food to be ordered extra. I am not saying the hotel is bad, I am just saying it is by no means five star.
- Only one set of room keys.
- If you bring a car you will pay an extra 700 pesos to park a block away.

Right downtown. Many patios and terrazas. Large room quite comfortable. A bit old fashioned but not surprising for location. Lovely little breakfast with lots of coffee.

We stayed in a Luxury Queen Room which was accessed via a private outdoor staircase on the first floor. It looked out over Calle Jose Maria Pino Suarez which proved to be a quiet street. We had a Juliet balcony above the hotel entrance. The room was plenty big enough and had a really good bathroom with a wonderful view onto the private garden below. There was a large corridor between the bedroom and the bathroom. The hotel reception staff were wonderfully friendly, ditto the breakfast server. The breakfast was excellent. The wifi was good and allowed us to check emails and listen to Radio Caroline's internet broadcasts. The garden complex was huge and we never saw anybody else in it. Indeed, the hotel was very quiet. There was a wonderful honesty bar in a garden room that we made use of in late afternoons and after retiring from dinners. The Tikua restaurant next door is very good.
It was all perfect!
Very artistic hotel, close to the historical city center. Staff were very friendly & accommodating.Rooms & bathroom were large. Breakfast at the hotel was good & a very good value for everything you got.
Staff was very kind
- Room does not have hot water- A lot of noise outside the room- They don’t have parking lot- Ver basic room without coffee maker
Good location. Friendly staff. charming setting and decor. Quiet. Comfortable beds.
Not well lit.
Location: excellent for center of town experience. Room comfort and noise level: very good. Interaction with all hotel staff: very pleasant.
Stayed 4 nights, 2 mornings with hot shower; 2 mornings with cold showers. Would have preferred 4 mornings with hot showers. Airport transport ... requested pickup at airport, driver did not come into the terminal with a pad with my name or the hotel name, like most drivers and as I expected. After about 20 minutes of delay and communication, finally connected with the driver. Simple things to address.
Enchanting colonial architecture, eclectic decor Amazing service Management went above and beyond to provide an extra bed to one of our rooms When Booking .com misrepresented our accommodation
Fabulous Colonial Architecture Beautifully decorated with unique art and furnishings Absolutely loved the many lovely outdoor spaces.Service was absolutely amazing
My reservations on Booking.comDid not match what I thought I reserved. We had a few unhappy travelers who had to share a king size bed. The management did the impossible to accommodate us. I am very grateful.Thank you
Location. Friendly staff on arrival and departure.
The WiFi was only available if you stood at the door to the room or in the corridor outside!!We asked for a quiet room and got the room right on the street.Bed was too hard and when manager/owner was informed he was unhelpful.
The property was very cute and in a great location, but if you can’t walk a steep incline, this property is not for you!
The street noise can be very loud if you are NOT in an inside room.
Location was great, very close to museums and great restaurants. Loved the fluffy towels and bath mat. While breakfast is not included,at attached restaurant, you did get a discount and it was delicious!
This hotel needs some more sparkle. Room needs some refurbishing, perhaps polish the tile inside the rooms. Stairs and upstairs lobby furniture need replacing or refinishing refinishing. Place is a bit tired. Never got wifi to really work.
The hotel was very quaint, clean, and decorated in a modern, yet traditional way - so nice! The staff was exceptional - friendly and always willing to be of assistance. The location was great - within walking distance of most everything. The breakfasts were very, very good, and the service was excellent.
The WiFi was spotty, at best, but it did not interrupt our stay at all. The water was only hot if you took a shower at night. I assume this is due to a smaller size water heater that gets more use during the day. The hotel was so charming that we gave allowances for this!
This was a beautiful stay. The space is gorgeous and peaceful. Breakfast at an additional, reasonable cost was great. The staff was really warm and helpful. And Monica at reception was delightful. She let us move to a room with more light and sent us her list of favorite places. An additional bonus is the fantastic restaurant Tikua next door.
The first luxury room we checked into had a skylight instead of a window, which was important to us. Monica let us move to a room with a window. If that is something you care about, you should inquire when you make your reservation.
Good location in Centro. 24 hours staff on duty. Spa on upper level. Lots of patio space.
Hot water a little iffy
The location was great, a few minutes walk to the many squares and across the street from an art museum and a beautiful church. The hotel is beautifully decorated with unusual art and floral fabrics. The staff was great and there were lots of choices on the breakfast menu, including vegetarian options.
Nothing. It was a lovely stay.
This hotel is in the historic part of the city and the common areas and rooms are unusual and artfully decorated. It is definitely a place to go if you are interested in an unusual experience. And the breakfasts are excellent.
The only thing that I didn't like was that my room has a big step in it to access the bathroom. I had to be careful in the dark to get to the bathroom at night.
Location and overall ambiance of the small 'boutique' hotel. Mini split worked great and kept the room very comfortable on very hot days. Bed was hard but comfortable, and we slept well.
1. No hot water for our entire stay. We reported it but nothing happened and no one seemed to care. They later said that it takes a few minutes, but we would let it run for 10 min with no hot water. 2. Really bad internet. We live in Mexico, so blaming it on what is available isn't really a good answer. 3. No windows. 4. Room had levels up and down into and around the bathroom. My husband is vision limited, so this was a safety issue. 5. TV worked about 50% of the time and was clearly on its last legs. We felt that the staff was annoyed by our requests to address these items (at least at checkout; others were kind) and made us feel like we were needy gringos. For the price, one should expect the items above. The hotel was nearly empty, and they could have moved us to a different room, but that was only on offer for more $$.
