Pros +
- The forest is just outside the cabin. Any closer you could almost touch the trees!
- Monteverde is located near the downtown, it allows reach soon a great variety of options to eat or get tours in this beautiful place. Definitely I would like to repeat my stay here.
- The environment was quite peaceful for a restful time in the forest. It was close to downtown, and the cabin offered a fantastic view of the woods.
Cons -
- There should be extra blankets in the cabin. It was a little cold in September.
- The temperature in the shower, at the beginning was cold.
- Was one of the more expensive stays in Mazamitla, however the services didn’t reflect this. They made us walk up and down the hill to the wrong room. They also didn’t have a shuttle service to town which is weird given the price point and the location

Great setting, somewhat romantic

Peace and quiet in the woodsNice cabin for 2Grill on siteNot far from townGood staff
Uncomfortable outdoor furniture
We enjoyed our cabin in the woods. Although we were in proximity to other cabins, they were arranged at different levels allowing privacy. It was a nice spot just outside of town but felt like you were miles away.
The view is gorgeous; the location is quaint--in one of Mexico's Magic Towns (Pueblo Mágico).
The beds and bedding could be much better. The beds were hard, the blankets were insufficient and small. The on-site firewood was very expensive. Just across the street at a small store it was 75% cheaper.
The areas and cabaigns were amazing! ? really comfy, they give you a load of wood everyday, really clean and comfortable
Awaiting time for checking, after a long trip you want to go in and test and staff took over one hour and half to let us in! (Check in time is already late compared to the usual ones)
The landscaping and the cabins distribution
Don’t have open windows in the room
Have been going there for over a couple of years and have found that the staff is great in taking care of any issues that have arisen such as the hot water heater going out. The cabanas are nice and love the fireplace.
Probably will not go back there again because of the bar that plays music extremely loud all night long on the adjacent street to the north. Sunday night they played from sunset until when I left Monday morning at 9:00 A.M. Monteverde itself is great plus all the family oriented things to do. Sad.
The location, the atmosphere and the facilities were 10 of 10
We had to walk and we're not aware of the roads, there were no uber or taxis available for tourists. Also there's no service or any transportation available to the town.Schedules should be posted and offer at time of arrival, we tried to book activities and we're told starts at 10:00Am but never explained there was only 1 activity per day. Or the actiual.time of activities
Lots of trees and lots of green, close to the town but also feels like you are in the forest
I chose a cabin with mountain ?️ view and they didn’t have one available till the next day. Also the pots were very small and bad quality specially one the gets super hot from the handle I burn my hand.
We usually stay in Monteverde, it has wonderful views, it's safe for the kids to play around and also there's enough distance btw each cabin to feel privacy.Staff is always nice and helpful
Hope someday wifi signal can be improved
Been there half a dozen times in the past year. It’s a beautiful area and at times quiet with only the birds and wind in the pines to hear. Landscaping is nice.
On two different stays the hot water heater went out. The office is quick to respond and have someone relight the pilot light on the gas water heater. The most recent stay was worse because the small copper lines for the flame were restricted by the lines being bent. Luckily they offered me a different cabaña. The staff is very accommodating and is much appreciated by me.
Staff was very nice. The grounds are pretty. Location is close to town but still very private and secluded.
Hot water didn't work, wifi barely worked. Old towels, old sheets.
Love the setting of the property, quiet(ish), brought our room service quickly, staff was good.
Too rustic for us. There was no heater and the fireplace doesn’t have a blower for the air to get into the cabin — we basically heated the outdoors. While our kitchen was clean, it smelled funny, the fridge leg was broken so it wobbled and when we arrived it was unplugged and open so it took a while to get cold for the food we brought. The bed pillows were uncomfortable.
I liked the seclusion of the chalet and the idea of being separated from the world while being in a decent lodge.
I was expecting a little more comfort and amenities at the site. The kitchen was not really a kitchen and the draft was too much for my companion. The bedding and furniture were not very comfortable either.
Love the cabins, clean and quiet!! Great staff and always helpful!!
It's a perfect place to hide from heat especially in April-May or from noise of a city
Very high humidity and there are no heating options for clothes
Ok
I think they need something to carry luggage didn't have car long walk to the room was very unpleasant,Plus would be helpful to offer coffee sugar and creamer, tea ,thanks for offering water!
