    Pros +

    • The location was ok and outside courtyard was nice
    • Location, cleaned, staff friendly
    • The location and large rooms plus the pool made this a good place to stay.

    Cons -

    • The hotel is old and is need of repairs and remodel. Beds are old.
    • Cold water in swimming pool plus no restaurant open, only breakfast kind the expensive.
    • No amenities in the room, i.e. Iron and board, coffee maker, hair drier (delivered upon request when signed for it), Safe deposit. Dated furnishings. Old and worn towels. WiFi constantly going in and out due to thick stone walls (I guess).

Stayed 6 nights.Clean, basic accommodations. Nothing fancy. Short walk to the San Miguel Centro. Across the street from Rosewood Hotel (Don't miss the rooftop bar at sunset). Nice heated pool. Comfortable beds, OK breakfast buffet. Consiege Reyna helpful.

No amenities in the room, i.e. Iron and board, coffee maker, hair drier (delivered upon request when signed for it), Safe deposit. Dated furnishings. Old and worn towels. WiFi constantly going in and out due to thick stone walls (I guess).

The charm of the building, and the care put into it are impressive. Attentive staff is terrific. Location, of course is fabulous.

The yellow bulbs in the ceiling fixture are oppressive, especially in a room without much natural light. A better choice of light bulb that brightens the room without making it feel like a hospital would be a terrific improvement.

charming, attentive staff. Updates can always be needed in older places and they have done a good job being on top of this.

I only had breakfast which was good. (Will have more now the official trip has started. I would prefer that coffee be available long before 8 am. 7 am would be good - 6:30 even better.

Beautiful grounds. Large room and wonderful staff. Especially friendly doorman who greeted us every day when we passed. The restaurant staff were great.

We would have liked a coffee machine in the room but this is a very minor issue.

The grounds are gorgeous and well manicured…a mini oasis just off the busy street; many gathering spots inside and out to hang with members of your traveling group; the windows open for fresh air! Yay! Good water pressure in the shower; good breakfast buffet (making tortillas right there!) Super clean! Best location. Friendly staff. Every room different…not blah corporate design.

I would have preferred cotton or percale sheets but actually, I slept ok on the flannel.

Very quiet place with friendly staff. Not in the central of San Miguel so no hustle and bustle during the busy times. Less than 10 minutes walk to central area and some local Mexican style restaurants nearby. Courtyard with beautiful trees and design, good value to stay

Room a bit old style but still very clean and tidy

    9MaciasPosted on: 10-27-2025

Clean rooms, high pressure hot water, wonderful staff.

Drain in the shower backs up a little, but not too bad. Still a great bathroom with hot water.

The place is pretty and very well situated, just a short walk to the city center. Rooms are big and staff is lovely

Our room was in the ground floor and a bit humid

Beautiful property. Plenty of parking. Wonderful staff. Close to main square. Quiet and peaceful garden.

Bed was a little hard but not a deal breaker.

I love everything about Posada de la Aldea, it's crispy clean, confortable, an in a great location and top it all up the architecture and amazing gardens for an amazing price no other hotel can top that.

Nothing, I loved everything about this hotel and I would come back again for a longer stay.

    8JamesPosted on: 7-4-2025

The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The location to the city center also made for a short walk to the city center.

The room was a little outdated and could use a renovation. The bathroom fixtures were old looking, the tv was small, and the air conditioning was old.

The location was great, easy access in and out of downtown. Facilities were in great conditions and pricing very affordable.

location was good. I walk a ;ot so I did not mind walking to the city center, about half mile away. Room was great. Big and comfortable. Pool was just ok.

My only complaint was that there was construction. THE ONLY COMPLAINT. It was so dusty, I got a cough and needed medication and a mask. Oh, I wish they had a frig and coffee maker in room.

    10PriscillaPosted on: 5-28-2025

Location. Friendliness and the over feel of being authentic

I know the hotel cannot avoid maintenance however on my last day they were working on the hall we had to pass to leave our room. It was dusty and the passage was full of dusty smoke.

    Location, comfort, pool, staff

The first room was through booking.com was ground floor dark next to drive way. I upgraded after one night to better room and extended stay to 8nights. Would be better if other room options offered
