    Pros +

    • Restaurant foods are good. Good nature. Check out time 12:00 noon. Good breakfast.
    • The place is beautiful and worth every penny spent. The only drawback is, it is far from town. Thus, need to arrange own transportation. They also help to arrange transportation if we notify in advance. The staffs are so friendly and with happy welcoming faces. I would stay here again just for the ambience. The food in their restaurant tastes great too especially the fish dishes. I like the place being so quiet at night just felt peaceful.
    • Loved how relaxing the place was! I really appreciated how the staff were able to help us anytime (and they were so kind and welcoming)! We loved the activities - my husband and I did the hike up Gunung Bintan, fireflies tour (it was magical and the stars were so gorgeous that night!), rock climbing and swam around in the pool. We aren't the kind to just sit around so the activities were really fun for us. The room was nice and comfortable (no mosquitos, great air-conditioning, decent water pressure)! The food in the restaurant and cafe is pretty good at times and the free breakfast was great too. Made a lot of cat friends at the villa ;D

    Cons -

    • No hot water inside the room. Towels are dirty. The bathroom is very small.
    • I thought our villa would be tucked in the middle of the forest but it wasn't - there was a road right beside the villa and I could hear some loud vehicles every hour or so. My room was relatively close to the cafe up the hill and it played loud music so I could hear it from my room but it was fine as they turned it down by 11pm or so (but if your room was situated closer to the cafe it might be quite disruptive). One last thing I didn't like about the place was the 'mini zoo'. It was heartbreaking to see monkeys captured in a cage with not one branch to swing from (but the thought of monkeys in a cage is already bad). This goes for all the other animals in the mini zoo (geese, big lizards, etc.). The place looked like a little run down - please get rid of the 'mini zoo'. I assure you no one finds the 'mini zoo' a happy place.
    • It’s aged in areas but not out of character with other resorts

Beautifully laid out and picturesque surroundings .Very nicely furnished rooms and excellent support Staff

Nothing really worth mentioning against the property . It was good value for money

    7PanayiotisPosted on: 4-3-2024

The best thing about the property where the staff. They were super kind and always tried to help. However, almost no one communicated in English which was a setback when trying to organise tours or even order food.

The property was far from everything and as there are no taxis on the island on the spot, we spent a fortune paying every day for transport. Also the hotel was not clean to European standards eg (toilet and bedsheets).

We appreciated the free upgrade given to us. The staffs are very friendly, professional and polite. The restaurant had a very good selection of food and very affordable. The food was delicious and filling. Definitely heading back there again. They also have a wide range of outdoor activities to cater to those that love climbing and hiking.

The hotel has potential. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was big and clean. There was free transport from and to the ferry port. There is not much around the hotel, but we were able to rent a motorcycle and that made travelling around the island very easy.

I guess we didn´t arrive at a good time, because almost none of the hotel facilities were working. Only the hotel cafe was open (the restaurant was closed) with very limited selection of food, with almost no vegetarian options. Our stay was not long so it was okay but you should consider this if you´re planning on staying longer. There was some reconstruction done at the hotel which didn´t impact our stay.

The Cliff Cafe and sky tower have fantastic views of the surrounding. Best place to see sunset and sunrise.

the hotel far from town, which is good if you really liked quiet & stay over from city. chill & relax : here is the right villa

it the same from the 1st we’re there in 2019. The only different is the bathroom area has renovated but the shower handle is broken, water is either too hot or too cold. Cleanliness: 3/5

    6NurPosted on: 5-5-2023

Our rooms were well-maintained and clean. Staff were helpful in getting drivers and maintained friendly attitudes throughout our stay. Our breakfast food were delicious and the friendly stray kitty was the cherry on top. Staff were quick to respond if kitty tried to steal our food. The view of Gunung Bintan from the rooftop cafe was beautiful. Since our room was up the hill, we'd usually call for a buggy to go up or down, and the staff always responded to our requests for one timely.

We came during the non-peak season so it was basically only me and my partner at the resort. To get to our rooms we had to get a buggy which was fine but since it was non-peak, when we came back around 8/9pm, the reception was closed. We didn't feel safe walking up in the dark. Thankfully our driver knew where to find the hidden staff members to bring us up on the buggy. I was really hoping to take a dip in the pool but after seeing the condition of the flooring at that area, we gave it a miss as we didn't think it was well maintained. Rooftop cafe has nice menu, but food takes awhile to come up as the kitchen is located at the ground floor. So bear that in mind.

Has a great newly bathtub.Toilet is big spacious & clean.

No staff to attend to after 9pm as well as No operator too to attend to any phone call in order we to make any request order or enquiry.Pillow provided only 1 for individual & quite old.

The staff was very friendly. The concpt is good.

Facilities were poorly maintained. Animals in the zoo appeared neglected and very sad. Even fishes at the lobby were sick. Lake was polluted.

    5TeodoraPosted on: 6-13-2022

Peaceful place in a beautiful location. Very nice staff, they tried to accommodate for us but unfortunately the place has poor maintenance overall, probably due to covid.

There was practically no wifi. Some villas had wifi but ours could not even connect. We changed rooms and the connection was okish. Mosquitoes everywhere. My bathroom window upon check in was left open so when I entered a mosquito flew in a few minutes later and buzzed on my head all night. Geckos in the rooms. 3 geckos in my room running around all night making noises.

    1ReshmaPosted on: 4-28-2022

    Nothing. Wont recommend.

The hotel was secluded. Dirty. Not well maintained. We were accompanied by bugs the whole night. Spider web in the bathroom, cupboards. Smelly toilets. Room was small. Receptionist was not aware and not equipped to run the business.

    4Jsa345Posted on: 4-18-2022

The staff tried their best to make the stay comfortable. Appreciate the effort. Restaurant food was homemade and decent.

The resort was too far from the beach. Too many mosquitos. The staff was not knowledgeable about the facilities in their own resort. Shower was broken. Hotel arranged a snorkelling visit. The trip was extremely disappointing. We were not taken to visit the beach. Only taken to a very murky part of the ocean with no coral reefs or marine life visible.
