C Y C Heritage Hotel

Overall everything was good . Good size room, clean . Hotel location was good , nearby lots of hawker food stall.

Disappointed that they did not provide a mini fridge. Towel provided was thin.

Location is good.

No fridge in room. Ac were not working, staff is responsive to change a new room for me. Top level rooms facing west is very warm.

1. The room is dirty. A lot of dust everywhere - on the shelves, inside the air conditioner, under the bed, on the wall. I attach the photos. A lot of mold in toilet. The 3 star hotel should maintain cleanliness and such situation is not acceptable.2. The curtains are torn.3. They don’t have any adapter for sockets. It’s very strange considering that they have tourists from different countries. After checking in I spent 1 hour to find and buy an adapter. Finally an adapter is suitable only for 1 socket. And another sockets near the bed don’t work at all that is not convenient when you charge your phone lying in the bed. 4. A lot of noise from streets outside the hotel. They don’t have a sound proof. At night every 5 minutes someone slams doors. And I heard neighbors above it they were cleaners who cleaned rooms every night. 5. They take additional charges for everything. The booking com itself takes additional taxes and the final price is not the same (they write the real price using small letters). And then the hotel on the reception takes tourist taxes. Also they take deposit 50 ringgit. Also they take 10 Ringgit- I don’t know what is it. 6. Despite of the stuff told me they are fully booked there were a lot of free rooms on booking as well as for other nearby hotels.7. Finally this hotel does not meet 3 stars.

Great value for money. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of Penang Road Laksa and Deen’s Maju. We wish we had more time to explore the area.

Great location. Not too close to the main busy streets but walkable to them. Nice lobby and nice room with basic necessities.

Had some yellow stains on the blanket. Only realised it in the next morning. Can hear people walking outside.

Bathroom waterlogged, took a long time to drain after shower

They should have put more people for room cleaning,so that they can accommodate the guests earlier

- Convenient location for getting to/from the ferry terminal and visiting the city’s main attractions.- Spacious room with bright interiors and large windows letting in plenty of natural light.- Smart TV where I could stream more views for my cat’s YouTube channel.

- The Wi-Fi connected but there was no internet access on our first night, so the smart TV was out of service as well.- The room card was a little tricky, although the lady at the front desk kindly gave me the physical key, getting in and out still took a bit more patience than usual.

Check-in was super easy, no waiting. Private car park is just in front with many parking bays, spacious and even with three EV charging stations. Room was clean and tidy. Hair dryer, fridge, TV all working well. Room lights were comfortable and multi-switch. CYC is within walking distance to Cecil wet market on one side and to Georgetown center on another side. Cecil wet market was great with good hawker's food, good milk coffee and milk tea, charcoal fried kuey teow, duck noodle soup, nyonya kuih etc etc. Not to forget the Chinese BBQ delicacies, crispy and traditional. Then walking to Georgetown center, we had street-side fried meehoon, fried popiah and red bean soup just on the next street from CYC hotel; popiah was so good, no wonder locals were lining up to buy. This is our second time staying at CYC, we will surely come again.

It was clean and you were able to demand cleaning services for your room everyday. The staff was very nice and you got everything you needed for a great price.

Overall okay. Good location. Good services. Easy to find. Less congested parts of town. Reasonably price. My 2nd time visit here.

If there is one thing I would suggest is to have a mini fridge. But that might add to overall cost. Another thing, but this one is beyond control, is that my room was just a cross from Shopee Logistics Warehouse, so you can guess the rest.

I can’t sleep all night because of noises by roadside

Friendly staff, confortable bed, smart TV.

Not directly in the old city and the hotel is overall a bit old, but nothing bad.

Clean, spacious and large beds for two. Very friendly and helpful staff. Water dispenser along the hallways and lobby so we did not have to buy bottled water.

The room we had was facing the mainroad which made it rather noisy but we were so exhausted from a whole day of walking that we slept it off. The glass toilet walls made it very bright during the night when the toilet light was turned on.

Parking

They dont change bath towel everyday. No coffee. No small refrigerator.

The room was comfortable and there was free on site parking for guests.

The noise form outside (traffic etc) can be heard quite loudly inside the rooms.

Pleasant

We have a lot of stuffs/things to bring to our room. Therefore, I asked hotel if there's any trolley so that can help us to move our things up to our room. Unfortunately, there's no trolley at all, and we have to repeat back and forth to take our things; from room to car, and the our room number is 30, which is end room. so tired and sad.

CYC Heritage Hotel is at a good location with the Cecil wet market within a walking distance. Many locals visit the market for its good range of Penang hawker food. CYC also has a safe and convenient private parking. Will stay here again.
