Perfect location for event in Youth Park. Helpful staff, comfy beds and clean room.

Shower didn’t have hot water

The front desk receptionist was very helpful and explained every details about the hotel accordingly.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far from satisfactory. There was a persistent unpleasant odour throughout the premises, which made the environment uncomfortable. The beds were in poor condition and did not provide a restful experience. The condition of the toilet was unacceptable, reflecting a serious lack of maintenance. Overall, the hygiene standards fell well below expectations. I hope management takes these issues seriously and works toward improving the guest experience.

Room and toilets are very spacious. Good location. Very near to Gurney Drive, Botanical garden and Thaneermalai Waterfalls Temple. A lot of restaurants around.

No wardrobe. Only one chair. Wardrobe and additional chairs and small tea table will enhance the facilities in the room. Limited car park.

Very good stay on Penang Island, right next door to the Penang Botanical Gardens which was a bowl of fresh air and a haven for monkeys and lush vegetation - 20 min walk from the hotel. This hotel is reachable from KL Airport by taking a train to Butterworth from KL Sentral or Kuala Lumpur Main Station, changing for the ferry over to Penang, then bus 101 to Gurney Plaza before walking 10-15 min to the hotel - or you can take a Grab direct to the hotel. I only used Grab on the island to go back to the hotel in the evening from the funicular and it was easy as pie with the app.This hotel is classic but has all the stuff you need for a good stay: A good bed, a good shower, a proper air conditioning and the feeling of being safe and looked after. Right next door is OO White Coffee where you can enjoy a nice Chinese style breakfast. You do have to give a cash deposit of 50 MYR upon check in which they will give back on departure. It was a quick stay and it ticked all the boxes for me.I went to Miami Beach after check out for visiting the Teddy Bear Museum and it is reachable by bus after a 10 min walk from the hotel - or you could take the bus in the other direction for the excellent Cornwallis fort or the town of George Town.

Nothing, it was very good and good value for money.

Cold air-cond, comfortable and cozy bed and pillows. Spacious room and bathroom. Huge bed that can fit 3 adults.

There was a slight cigarette smell that seeped into the room from outside. TV was not really working well.

when i arrive, i get indian guy aim and charge for rm3 so call parking fee...during i was check in, the indian front desk asking my car plate number, i asking what for, she said i could tell the indian guy outside said i am guest to waive the parking fee...nice one, the whole road belong to them but not mbpp.

The location was convenient to access the temple and a few eating outlets.

Booked this space for my father and his friends. Location was convenient but the hotel needs an uplift and improvement. Heater was not working, water pressure was very poor. Requested a room change as the first one did not meet basic expectations.

Amazing location with a view of Penang Hill within walking distance of temples, parks, botanical garden.. The hotel provides free drinking water and there is a kettle and refrigerator in the room + there is a restaurant on the corner what is open till late.

The room was not very clean with other people's hair on the floor. The furniture was old and cracked. The taps in the bathroom were old, noisy and the water was leaking! The shower was barely warm. And it was terribly noisy from the road until late and starting in the early morning.and yes, the additional "fees and taxes" that I was presented with at the reception during check-in were an unpleasant surprise.

Time for check is 2.00 pm, but the room is not ready.Has to wait more than 1 hour..really disappointed.

Location was good for the area, if you require that part of the city (it's not downtown). Neighbourhood pleasant. Staff polite. Shower pressure was surprisingly good. WiFi worked.

Super noisy, on the junction of two main roads, hear the traffic all hours, e.g. 4am. Also hear other guests. First day room not serviced so no clean towels, also dirty pillowcases (coffee stains?). Deluxe double room is the same as a double room, hence the large double bed is actually a standard double bed, all very misleading. Breakfast is actually located two blocks away and only one rice, noodle or roti with drink is offered. Closer alternatives are available without the RM5 voucher.

Poor facilities: rusty kettle, towels, pillows yellowish, old small tables. No shampoo provided.

Location is near city park and botanical garden. There’s plenty of restaurants nearby. Room is clean, water pressure is strong, aircon is working well. There’s filter water dispenser at the corridors. There’s no problem parking my car.

Lack in sound proofing. Could offer a better toilet seat.

Room is spacious and clean and comfortable beg.

Had all you needed on basic level, staff were very nice.

1st room no fresh air, 2nd room fresh air while kitchen not in operation below. No real surfaces very cheap and dirty, including floor, plastic over tile, needs a clean, wipe down. 2nd room I was in, there is still construction dust from obvious renovation. Better heck list for cleaning and room reset needed and some attention to human needs like fresh air.

Cleanliness is so so so. Bathrooms are not that clean. Parking space needs better monitoring.
