Good view and strategic location.

Limited choice of food.

Staff was polite, place was clean. However, stayed there for 3 nights and all days didn’t have hot water. Room cleaning was done daily and sheets were changed. Overall, it was a nice stay.

I thought the spa is free..but i still need to pay for it..and the spa receptionist was seems to be rude

My son loved the bathtub. and the view of sunset at sea & penang bridge is awesome.

The TV is too small for the room and aircond isnt very cooling but kinda lucky because raining, so the weather is bearable. The food was average for Penang.

Everything is good except.

The toilet seat is too loose, it's not safe to use.Cleaners should be more responsible to inform the supervisor or maintenance team.

Just the breakfast was value for money.

It was my second stay in a month first stay was fair but this time the Room AC was not working, changed room thrice, and finally they gave a room with a ceiling fan.

The room was comfortable and the price very reasonable.

The hotel looked slightly run down in places and requires updating. The fire alarm went off during our stay and it was handled quite poorly with very little comminication of what was going on and left us with very little confidence. .

not recommended to others

i was stay here before this the experiences was very good but now the room are muddy, bed with the itchy animal, room are smelly damp and i immediately request to checkout. but they still charge me with full amount (since i book thru booking.com). very dispointed.

There was a fire alarm on Jan 1 nite n we were not given the information of what was happening. We went to the lobby and was given very unclear n conflicting information when we checked with different people who had enquired. One information given was someone smoked in the lift which triggered the alarm n another explanation was short circuit. We stayed at 2nd floor and when we walked down the stairs to the lobby the door was locked n we could not exit. We got to make a big round to another door to the lobby. Can u imagine if there was a fire and we all could have been unable to escape? . It appears that there was no safety protocol that was practised. After the alarm the lights leading to my rooms (this is a family suite) was blown n the TV signal was gone. Next morning we called for a technician to fix the lights n TV and after an hour he said he needed to trouble shoot as it seems to be a short circuit. I was left with such inconvenience having RM 1555 for 3 nites. I would like to know how I can be compensated for such inconvenience! Pls reply to my message

It’s a strategic location, convenient to go to other places as well as convenient stores in walking distance. Room was cozy enough for me. Gotta love the constant hot water pressure when shower. Didn’t have the luxury time to check on other facilities however. Helpful nice staffs.

Definitely need to upgrade the pillows, mattress was still acceptable. TV was too old school.

The services are bad. i have checked in late with my family, the hair dryer in toilet burst on the day, asked for receptionist help but the technician took so long to come and fix. My kid and wife need to wait for the technician to fix, at the end they gave separate hand dryer and told not to use dryer in toilet. The night shift receptionist told that i need to exit car park and.come to reception with TNG card but the morning shift receptionist told the other way and i need to pay for the overnight parking. I find they used this trick to charge for the parking.

Everything..Cheap soaps.. Not much toiletries. Bath tub was dirty with peeling paint..

I cannot think of what i liked about Pearl View Hotel. Photos were no where near indicative of true conditions of the rooms.

Disatisfactory room conditions - broken chair that threatens to break on you anytime while you are seated, intermittent wifi connectivity, additional bottles of "complementary" water were chargeable, additional toilet paper was chargeable. Hotel staff were unaccommodating and refused my request to change rooms and kept pushing the "maintainence guy" to my room who hardly knew what he was doing.I fly to Penang monthly. This will certainly be my last. time staying at Pearl View.

The room met our expectations. We didn't apply for breakfast as we were more comfortable having it outside. The location is just OK.

The hotel looks old and almost empty. The cafe is not open, possibly because there are fewer customers.

Toilet ,i slipped at the bathroom before i start take a shower from the bath tub, i got injied and my leg start swallow non of the management contact me ask for the appologize for the incident ,lucklh i cover my head its almost hit the concrite , im waiting for the management take a responsibile to my safety and health

Almost everthing.

The room has no window for air ventilation. However, it has a small, permanent glass window to the corridor. This is quite annoying when sleeping, as the aisle light shines through into the room even though the room lights are switched off and the curtains are drawn.
