Courtyard by Marriott Penang

Location is convenient to everything. Bed is very comfortable and room is clean. Manager Kumar is very helpful and gave us good suggestions for places to visit. He is the best.

I love Penang ,, food was good . The area i stay easily can find nice food n the hotel staffs is friendly approach. The room is clean , spacious. I sure to come back again in near future.

Not one thing

Terrible experience. Courtyard, you can do better!

Terrible staff. Need to be retrained! Over an hour for check in when rooms should have been ready. Travelled with elder parents and they were made to wait uncomfortably in the lobby. Room service: food was cold, no cutlery, missing items, etc. Staff claimed they were busy with an event dowbstairs. We had to go downstairs to kitchen to retrieve items we had ordered and found Staff happily sitting around chatting and having their meal downstairs instead of attending to guests when on duty. Saving grace was the gentleman that was cleaning our rooms. He was delightful, friendly and helpful. Courtyard Penang staff should learn from him.

I appreciate how exceptionally clean the room is, and the variety of pillows available allows guests to choose according to their personal preference. The location is excellent, situated in the heart of Georgetown. The staff also provided excellent service when we requested extra pillows.

The breakfast should be regularly replenished to ensure items are always available and not left empty. The lobby is a bit small, which may give a somewhat unimpressive first impression.

Not at all impressed.

Room/corridors/pool area not very clean. Bathroom needs some repair. The rooms are not soundproofed as advertised. Not a very central location. Staff not very friendly. Very overpriced for the overall quality of the hotel.

The cleaness and the comfy

It’s very noisy due to the sound proof is not very efficient. Especially door open and close.

the location of the hotel is very convenient, in the middle of all the tourist places. the breakfast is also good, meet everyone's needs. the staff are very friendly.

Our room was large with ample space and being on the high floor had a beautiful sea view too. The new clean look was very well maintained and the comfort level of the bed was more than expected. The staff at the reception, room service and breakfast were all pleasant, The vast variety of the breakfast was really good, although it was the same for the 3 days of our stay.

The sound proofing of the room needs some attention. Every time a door was closed somewhere in the corridor, it felt like our room door was being opened and banged close. Some sofas in the lobby would be a good addition to increase the comfort level of the guests.

location cleanness and price

once I told to a receptionist to change the bed type from twin bed to a king bed, been told no more room available. But once I check in booking app still available and showed to them than finally gave to me as room I expected

Loved the new modern clean spacious roomAnd the locationVery walk friendly locationI was only here for one day, but i loved the property, the staff is amazing, the bed was so comfy, wow just wow.

Breakfast was not included

Our stay here was good. Everyone was very helpful. There was a scheduled power outage on the day of checkout. We were informed that the lifts will be working but unfortunately it wasn't. Called the front desk and their staff WALKED UP 23 Floors just to assist us. Kudos to the team.Then just as we were leaving my car had a flat tire and guest what the manager Mr Puvan,the security guard and someone from maintainance help to replace my tire.I'm so grateful to everyone who helped. Thank you so much guys.

Second stay ar Courtyard. Liked the location and the view from our room.

The room was clean , tidy, comfortable. The staff fulfilled with my request for special occasion too. Very good service

Decent food

No service on the roof top bar, had to wait an hour and a half to get a wine. Phone didn’t work so had to walk into the gym to get through to someone at reception.

Great location, modern, good breakfast.

Room and housekeeping cleanliness can be better. For at least 2 days, the new towels were found with hair, dirt and stain. The wash basin is moving, not well fixed to the vanity top.

Clean, new, tidy

Nothing negative with the property. I ordered an ectra bed which stated as RM150 in the website and at check-in. however when checking out, the staff tried to charge me RM450 for just the extra bed. I had to correct her.

Location. Walking distance to the street hawkers.

Had a lot of problems entering the car park on check-in days but issue was resolved the following day.Soundproofing of the room is really bad (can hear people showering from other rooms, ppl talking on the corridor)
