Hotel Penz West

Decent, affordable hotel about about a mile or so away from the downtown, near the airport. It is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is standard Austrian fare. You will want a car, bus ticket or pass, or a decent walk to the rest of town.

Don't park in lot next to hotel, rather across the street. The gated lot next to the hotel belongs to the university.

This was my second stay and the staff were just as helpful and hospitable. The night manager made me a cappuccino at 5 AM before breakfast was open, when I had an early flight.They accommodated us with early and late check in/check out.The close proximity to the airport and a nice restaurant made it perfect for the start and wrap up of our Austrian stay.

Location right next to airport for early flight. View from hotel room was beautiful. Parking was easy. They began breakfast early for us since we had an early morning flight.

This is a beautiful property located not far from the city center, offering stunning views of the Austrian Alps.Our children especially enjoyed the hotel’s private football pitch and swings just across the road. There’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel, with frequent buses to the city center — and the complimentary city passes made getting around easy and free.The staff were exceptional, with special thanks to Jerome, Liz (Elizabeth), Carmen, Sophie, and Mike for their warm hospitality and attentiveness. During our 18-day tour across Europe (Hungary, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and France), no place matched the exceptional hospitality we experienced at Penz West — it truly stood out. We would love to come back and stay in this hotel, if we get a chance again.Breakfast had a nice variety, and we particularly appreciated the selection of local products.

We would have appreciated if ironing facilities were given in the room itself instead of going to the basement.

Nothing is there to dislike

The room was very nice and we had a great view of the mountains. The hotel is located on the west side of Innsbruck away from the hustle/bustle of the main town. It was a 7-10 min. drive into the city center. The breakfast was amazing. They have a great patio area. The restaurant's food was good. Would definitely stay here again if I am in Innsbruck again.

Nothing bad to say about this hotel.

this is not a business hotel. There is no glass in the bathroom to rinse my mouth. I need to do laundry myself. The hotel does not offer free luggage storage, and there is not free umbrella for borrowing. I need to purchase an umbrella.

It was very beautiful, great view

The TV is a smart Tv but you can‘t use the function like connecting ur own Netflix etc…

Gym, sauna and restaurant at the hotel, and the location close to airport were great.

This airport hotel is amazing ! Wauw. Reception staff was unbelievable friendly and helpfull. I travel alot. But this staff is beyond !

Air con didn’t work in room.Dinner (Thai curry) was spilt on one of my friends then the waitress laughed when we asked for compensation.

Very conveniently located to the airport, which is why we booked. We had a lot of luggage and managed the short walk fairly easily. Great breakfast which was included in the rate which is always a bonus! Comfy beds and very clean.

No frills in the room, could have benefited from a little colour, maybe a picture of two on the wall.

It’s perfectly situated for the airport.

There was no restaurant. Had to walk 20 mins to the only place to get food. Would have been useful if we’d known this as we would have stayed somewhere else. It was hard to get any rest - room was ridiculously hot - even with window wide open. Reception didn’t answer phone so had to walk down at 2am to be told ‘nothing we can do’. Overall a really bad nights sleep.

We took a night in Innsbruck before flying home. This, instead of having a stressful time down from our ski resort, reaching the airport in the morning. Excellent walking distance to the airport.

The bed had some sort of protective plastic under the sheets, but I didn't notice this until the middle of the night. Slept pretty bad.

Nice clean rooms lovely staff and so close to the airport. Also had a locker room. Breakfast was lovely.

Would have appreciated tea making facilities in the room but they did make our friends tea in the morning at the bar and didn’t charge.
