Hotel Maximilian - Stadthaus Penz

Room size and cleanliness. Complimentary breakfast was the best I had in Europe for this trip. The location is right smack in the middle of everything.

Elevator was a bit cramped and slow, but that is expected in an historic location.

The staff was professional and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, with many options to choose from. Location was good-a scenic view when you step out of the hotel, and close to forms of public transport. Comfortable lobby and bar area. It had a locker room free of charge to store your luggage or belongings with individual self-locking lockers.

The only thing that I didn’t like was the design of the bathroom in the rooms. The exterior wall and door was made of glass, and while part of the those was frosted for privacy, it did little to add privacy since there was also a gap between the door and wall and there is no lock, or even any way to secure the door at all. Because of the gap, no solid wall or door, and the fact that the bathroom is literally right next to the bed, anyone can hear what’s going on in the bathroom (and vice versa).

Everything! It's a very classy hotel, and you can tell that the owners really want the guests to feel pampered. They have everything you need in the room. The breakfast is incredibly delicious!!! They are very friendly and hospitable. We have been in Europe for the past 2 weeks traveling to different cities in four different countries, and this has been our best stay so far! It's a central location, walking distance to all major attractions. We were also able to store our bags after check-in, a plus for us. We will definitely stay here again.

That we didn't get a room overlooking the mountain, but I guess there were non available when we booked, hopefully next time

Room was beautiful and had a side view of sunset of the mountains. Bed was comfortable. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was some of the best of our trip to Europe with an amazing fruit bar. Location was perfect and close to everything we wanted to do. Bath, although small was comfortable.

Some staff were very helpful, some seemed busy and distracted by our questions. Overall, I did love this hotel and would recommend to others!

The Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. We arrived on a nasty, rainy day and they quickly helped me park and get situated. Parking is in affiliated garages (approx 18-19euro....depending upon where). Room was nice. Excellent location right where all the shopping/sights/activities are. I basically parked the car on arrival and walked everywhere else as it was so convenient. We had excellent food in the area. The breakfast was good as well.

Parking was the biggest issue...but it wasn't much. The Staff were wonderful.

Well located, around the corner from the car-free pedestrian zone. Breakfast had a nice variety of options. Rooms are clean, comfy and up to date. The windows are excellent at noise blocking.

The perfect room for a family of four, with a queen bet for adults, bunk beds with reading lamps & a privacy shade for the kids, a partitioned bathroom with double vanity, TV, swivel lounge chairs, desk, and Nespresso machine. Location in the heart of the city with a view of Marktplatz.

It was wonderful from the time I checked in until I checked out. The staff was friendly and answered my questions. Most importantly, I enjoyed statrting the day with a great breakfast.
