Basic Hotel Innsbruck

Location, ease of check in, friendliness of staff, room size, and modern bathroom.

Elevator was super small.

Very clean, modern hotel located in good part of the city. Everything is in walking distance like the old part of Innsbruck, bakeries, market, and transportation. Excellent views of the mountain from our room.

Sad

They cheated my money by offering the wrong type of rooms and basically told me it’s not their business. We could not sleep in the same bed as that was not what we booked. So we ended up spending more money to get an apartment for two nights.

It was breakfast included, but there was no hot food options, such as eggs.

The location was fantastic. Staff - especially the guy we had at check in - was super helpful and friendly.

Parking lot was small but happy they had one so close to the hotel.

Wonderful location for walking to old town area and train station. Had everything i needed. Clean room, great bed, TV to connect to my laptop, even an elevator which isn't that common. The staff was very helpful and gave clear directions for all my questions. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was very spacious and comfortable, with everything you need. I wouldn't call it "basic," as it has a safe, hairdryer, desk, and, in my case, a nice, comfortable balcony. In addition, the stay included a visitor card for Innsbruck with unlimited public transportation and exclusive access to certain attractions with the card. In addition, there is a daily cleaning service! The lady from the reception was super nice as well!

This was a reasonabley priced place to stay within walking distance of the funicular to go hike in the mountians!

Since we are a family, the glass walls to the bathroom were okay but if you were traveling with co workers, that could be wierd.

Good size room for 4 adults with splendid mountain view. Car parking at the hotel. Very central downtown

Staff was friendly especially the gentleman at the front when we checked in. Room was clean and spacious enough for 4 people. Breakfast was good. The paid parking behind the building was easy. Location is the best with less than 10 min walk to the golden roof. Recommended.

They waited for me despite my very late check-in! And they do have a self-check-in option in case you come in really late.Location is very central - very near the city centre (although a bit of a distance from the train station, but still works! very walkable if no heavy luggage).

Perhaps the open-concept shower? As it leaves the toilet floor wet, predisposing those with mobility issues to slips and falls. Nonetheless, not that big of a deal, really. Hotel was a really good place to stay!

“Basic” doesn’t do it justice, I would rather say it’s minimalist but in a good way. One has all the necessary amenities for a cozy stay. Nicely and simply decorated, with a spacious balcony and easy to access bike parking facilities it was the perfect stay for my trip to Innsbruck.

The front desk staff was very helpful and kind. I also found the location to be perfect. It was away from the noise of the central tourist district but within a 3 minute walk of that area. There is a phenomenal grocery store behind the hotel.

Only complaint was the hair dryer. I had to ask for a second one they keep in storage because the one on the wall in my room overheated.

Simple and clean, but modern and well located. The breakfast was nicer than I imagined and the staff were all very kind, helpful, and friendly!

Great location near the old city and the Inn river. A very good breakfast. Nice and friendly staff. Very clean and quiet we didn’t hear any noise from the Main Street below. We reserved a car parking spot in advance and it was very well organized

No coffee/tea in the room

The location is amazing and staff is very friendly and helpful. Considering that it advertises itself as a basic hotel, I think it was fairly represented: nothing fancy but a great option if you’re on a budget in Innsbruck.

There was a group of students staying in many of the other rooms and they were drunkenly screaming and slamming doors all night, two nights in a row. It was miserable and when I complained multiple times, the noise just continued. I don’t think kids should be able to stay at a hotel with no chaperone or guardian. It was miserable trying to sleep and I think at the very least there should be a 24 hour number to call when things have devolved at the hotel.In addition, the wifi was really slow and would drop all the time, which made it hard to work from the hotel.Also, the bed seemed to be washed with harsh detergent that made me itchy. Lastly, I know it’s billed as basic, but a mini fridge would have been a great touch.
