Pros +
- Beautiful surroundings
- Staff were excellent, always friendly and helpful. They run a smooth operation for events (I was attending a wedding) but they are definitely capable of hosting and entertaining 250+ people. Facilities were great, meals were excellent, service always speedy and professional (especially the numerous bar staff that had to deal with increasingly inebriated patrons as the night grew and always kept on top of everything, again in a friendly and professional manner)
- The welcome and hospitality was fantastic. John made us feel very welcome, our room was beautiful, bed very comfortable and sheets felt luxurious. Having access to the spa and leisure facilities was great too.
Cons -
- Gym and spa opening hours at the weekend. We stayed Saturday to Sunday. Would have loved the gym to be open at 6am before breakfast to get my session in before breakfast at 8am. But didn’t open to 8am. This is just a recommendation to suit someone like myself who would love this option.
- The mice running in the corridor on the way to the spa
- The bar area and food choice, for the price you should have a better selectionDon’t like the bar lay out, does not feel comfortable are welcoming, needs updating

From the moment we walked in the staff & hotel were amazing. Room was extremely clean & bed super comfortable. Chilled champagne was an extra special touch.
The food
The mice running in the corridor on the way to the spa
Great night from moment went into room with the thoughtful note and bottle of prosecco , Staff very helpful and dinner was excellent.
Beautiful hotel and the staff was very friendly. The spa amenities were exceptional. The breakfast was also excellent. Great place to stay when staying in Cork.

Reception was nice and receptionist was very pleasant
Cold , vast , not homely and food ok
One of the best hotels in Ireland. Customer focus on the highest level. Delicious food and fabulous SPA experience.
I wish I could stay longer
Room was great with large comfortable bed. We had a bottle of prosecco left in the fridge for us, very nice touch to start the evening Lovely breakfast in dining room overlooking the garden
Didn't use the shower as it had a rainforest shower head. Hotels need to change from these as they are difficult to manage and most women dislike them.
Really nice hotel with friendly and efficient staff. The food was excellent at both dinner and breakfast. Room was warm and clean and there is a lovely atmosphere in the hotel.
NA
Breakfast was excellent, incorporated both buffet and table service with plenty of choice.
The room was very comfortable and well furnished. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.
I would have liked a warm more intimate bar in the old building with a nice fire. The hotel bar was a little sterile.
The complimentary bottle of Prosecco in the roomThe quality and presentation of the foodThe spa facilities
We got lost a couple of times to our room, could not find directions beteen some elevators and double doors.
Breakfast was very good
Our room was out the back facing the water works not a very good view
Lovely location, the spa was great
We had a leak in the bedroom whisk kept me awake. Mentioned it to the breakfast manager and he made nothing of it. The bar food was disappointing.
Staff are really out to make your stay as nice as possible, the food was amazing along with the bar situation nice snuggs to make the dinning more private and pints were really good, bedroom was really nice , the reason I didn't give a 10 was the tvs in the rooms didn't have Netflixs but that's only small
Spa, Lucy is a fabulous therapist.
The air con made clicking noises throughout the night and really disturbed our sleep.
