The Psalter

Nice and clean even though the rooms were not really big. The staff were also friendly

There’s no lift so carrying luggage up the stairs was not easy

very, very good location, bus station at hotel door and near little stores and restaurant

nothing, all expectations were met

Very friendly staff. Modern, clean and spacious rooms. Ample parking. Nice bar area.

The staff were wonderfully helpful, friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for our needs. The breakfast was superb. The room and bathroom was spacious, everything was very clean.

The only comment on the negative side was for me the bed was too hard.

We had a very comfortable stay at The Psalter. The room was furnished to a very high standard and was clean and cosy. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was a very hot night when we stayed. A small fan was provided but this was not all that effective for the size of the room. Luckily we drove and came prepared with our own two additional fans. On an average night in the UK this would not have been an issue and in the winter I'm sure the room will be lovely and cosy. If staying during the summer be prepared for a warm night. Also, the entire restaurant and bar were booked for a private party the evening of our stay meaning we could not eat in the hotel. This didn't end up being an issue for us but we would have appreciated a warning at the time of booking.

Fab hotel, great staff, super clean and comfortable

Lovely room - recently refurbished - very comfortable bed - a quick overnight stay - convenient location to visit family - also close to the University

Would have been better to have breakfast included in the price - quite expensive to add on but I believe it is very good

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who even helped us park our car. Our room was cosy, clean and comfortable. We had dinner and drinks at the bar and restaurant next door, the food and staff were excellent. We would highly recommend and we will stay there again when we return to Sheffield.

Great location, Clean hotel, amazing staff.

Mirror in room not in line with hairdryer plug.

Ok. Staff nice. Clean, tastefully decorated. On site parking convenient.

WiFi would not connect one evening. Bed hard, water in shower just about hot enough, no teaspoon in room so I ended up squeezing out teabag with the handle of my toothbrush. All little things, but could be better.

Friendly helpful staff, without being patronising.Breakfast was excellent, plenty of vegetarian not only vegan options, although I would have liked a vegetarian full English with eggs. My eggs florentine were really good though, and I was able to add Quorn sausages. The lemon posset with the berries at dinner was really lovely.Great small double room, warm, and charging points next to the bed.I also really liked the option of someone refreshing my room, I didn't need it.

I'm 68, fine with a QR code instead of a printed room directory, especially such a lovely wooden? one, but I think you should let people know when they check in, offer a printed one. Not everyone has a smartphone. Not enough choices for vegetarians on the lunch/dinner menu. BBQ hispi cabbage, I ate some, but there wasn't enough flavour, and the char tasted burned, but the potato and mushrooms were lovely. I did say at the time.

Location very good for us Comfortable rooms Friendly staff

Breakfast was freshly cooked ! Room was spotless with a comfortable bed and great shower. Staff were very courteous couldn't do too much to be helpful

There was not anything to dislike !!

Recently tastefully refurbished to a high standard. Room warm and comfortable. Bathroom modern and immaculate.

Everything was excellent

Very disappointed- just given menu. No juices, water, toast/marmalade, cereals or fruit.Poor value and no offers to refill coffee or tea.

There were three flights of stairs to get to room even though it was on first floor. No lift, would have been impossible for anyone even slightly disabled.

Nice area away from the inner city but close enough with taxi, friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed, decent tea and coffee in room. Didn’t want a big breakfast so had coffee and croissant in the bar area instead.

Room is small ideal for 1 night stay, would get bigger room if staying longer. Car park is small, as we arrived in evening it was full managed to grab last space.

Have stayed there several times. The staff are always excellent. Only a one night stay this time but very comfortable room. Breakfast was good, the best pancakes we have had anywhere!

Nothing!

Very comfortable room & hotel, good quality furnishings, good vibe in bar/restaurant

Nice clean room, amazing staff

Crooked floor, leaning to one side made me feel dizzy, room a lot smaller than expected, cold and unpleasant when entered, luckily enough went down stairs to have a drink so room had some time to warm up. Ordering through the app is pretty straightforward, but the tip added to every order at 10%, not really my thing. I prefer to get my service first before tipping.

Every single member of staff we had the pleasure of interacting with was a pure delight. Especially the lady that checked us in and out.

It was a little bit expensive, but I can't fault them for that as we booked last minute following a cancellation at our other hotel
