Located just minutes from Southsea seafront and the center of Portsmouth, Florence House is Portsmouth’s original boutique hotel, offering free WiFi and parking. A mix of on and off-road parking is available, reservation is required. All bedrooms and bathrooms are individually designed, offering stylish and comfortable furnishings. Each room features a LCD TV, and vegan friendly toiletries. The Florence House Hotel offers varied dining options including the Garden for indoor and outdoor dining. It is housed within a lovingly restored Edwardian house that has retained many original features. Florence House Hotel is the first hotel in The Mercer Collection group of boutique properties. The historic Mary Rose, HMS Victory, and HMS Warrior warships are less than a 10-minute drive away, along with the Blue Reef Aquarium. Gunwharf Quays Shopping Center and Portsmouth Harbor Railway Station are also less than 10 minutes away by car. Please note, due to the age of the building we do not have a elevator, if you are unable to manage stairs please contact the property directly. Our restaurant is closed over the winter period, opening May - October.

- nice location, clean and neat, wonderful attentive staff
- The overall experience. The staff there made us feel very special and both hotel employees went above and beyond in order to make us feel special. The room was comfortable, shower was great and the breakfast was wonderful.
- I loved how nice and attentive the staff were. Very accomodating and reliable. They were there to help with everything, even booking our taxi. The breakfast was amazing. The room was phenomenal. From now on, i'd like to stay in a hotel just like this one!
Cons -
- The bed was a little low and very soft.
- I loved my stay here but if i could change one thing, i would need heat/air control inside the room. I tend to like it cooler at night. Also i noticed a grape and dust bunnies under the bed upon my departure looking for my watch.
