- The ¿staff¿ were friendly, efficient and made our stay an enjoyable one.
- Had a fridge. Constant scalding hot water.. Breakfast fine. Ample parking. Warm bed.
- Breakfast was good. It was cold days but they put an electric radiator.
Cons -
- Only one place within walking distance to get a dinner; it wasn't a place I would have gone to twice if I'd had a choice. Bath sheet, instead of a sensible bath towel; I can't see the point. Poor radio reception, but that's not a fault of the establishment; I find that in a lot of places. Room light not bright enough for me.
- Rattling water pipes. Very tired and in poor repair. No windows in the breakfast area. Too cramped in there. The whole place was not clean. The outside space was uninviting and filled with rubbish.
- Room was very dated, needs modernising. Worried about the electrics, too many plugs in plugs everywhere.

Large room and bathroom. Helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Lots of parking.
Smooth check-in, room was spacious and comfortable, friendly staff. Breakfast was also good.
Breakfast was well cooked

It was a base for a walking trip along the Thames. Perfect spot. Included breakfast. Great shower, comfy beds.
Room was very dated, needs modernising. Worried about the electrics, too many plugs in plugs everywhere.
The employee Mia seemed to to do everything she definitely needs support. She prepared the room, checked customers in, cooked breakfast and then served it to the table. A very pleasant stay and we will be returning.
I like that the owners reach out to find out what time I would be checking in. I also like that when I requested for a heater I was assisted immediately
It was a bit cold in the room but it was sorted with an heater
The welcome from staff and the amazing history and setting - close to the beautiful River Thames and the superb Barley Mow pub
I liked the location, it was quirky and had a old world feel about the place with a few unique features reflecting the lovely owners.
Nothing!
Value for money.Spacious room.
Confusing WiFi.Poorly lit frontage.
A very dated old property nothing was likeable
The damp in my room The antiquated bedroom furniture, the bathroom was a 70’s throwback and felt dirty Cobwebs in many places.Breakfast was ok but service was very poor staff spoke little/no English
Easy check in and good powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Good amount of cupboard space.
Stayed in room 3. The bed was awful, hardly any back support at all, both woke with back pain. The room heating was difficult to control due to stiff/faulty thermostats resulting in the room being overly hot with only a very small window for ventilation and light it made the room quite stuffy. Found a carton of orange juice with mould growing still in the in the small fridge obviously had not been checked/cleaned. The breakfast was served cold, with tinned mushrooms and scrambled egg that was more of a large lump than scrambled. The coffee machine did not hold enough for the number of people using it and was very intermittent. Worst of all the place mats on the breakfast table had trails from slugs which increased after the first day it was noticed, obviously not cleaned or checked.
The bedroom was spacious and comfortable.
On arrival I rang the bell on the reception desk, eventually a man booked me in and then showed me my room. There did not seem to be anyone else around (guest or staff) which did initially unnerve me as a solo female traveller.
excellent cooked breakfast. Room very clean and tidy. excellent value for money.
bit out of the way but two pubs in walking distance
I didn’t feel safe and comfortable so I left after 2 hours. It was cold and the area for serving food smelt like grease and was musty. The room wasn’t too bad but the whole place left me feeling uncomfortable.
The TV didn’t work and the room was freezing.

Where to start…. Not as advertised… power cuts dirty towels and a boiler so loud I was moved rooms at 230am…. And not cheap! Booking .com I will never use you again and warn everyone I meet not to do the same
Shower was good and hot as was the room.
Very difficult to find n the dark. The name, which has changed, was written on a small un illuminated sign nailed to a tree. The room was located in what could only be described as one of several outbuildings to the side of the house. There was one small window in the room but it gave little light as a large shed (one of several) had been built against it. The room was stiflingly hot even although the radiator was at its lowest.FORTUNATELY I did not see the rat poison placed in the corner of the room and bathroom until we were leaving. The Breakfast ‘area’ (otherwise known as entrance hall) was very cramped and certainly unsuitable for the number of guests it was expected to cater for. Once someone was seated at the table adjacent you could not get out of your seat you could only get out by moving the table towards your partner (who then had to watch his head on the sloping ceiling. The table cloths under the mats looked like they were seldom changedThe breakfast (basic English) was cooked and served by the same person (a gentleman wearing a red chefs hat, a multi coloured apron, pink flip flops and a jumper with holes in it. Thankfully his trousers were covered by the apron.I seldom use B@B, preferring hotels and pubs (at not much more cost) so I am not sure what expectations should be but this place just felt that they were cramming in as many people as possible (appeared to be at least ten rooms)Below is a photo of the entrance to the room and a view from the bedroom window!
The bed was comfortable. Room was warm.
The 'room' was filthy as were the reception and dining areas. The towels were threadbare, and two were so bad we had to ask for them to be changed out for two that at least didn't have threads hanging. No hand soap in bathroom. Electrical sockets were over loaded extension leads. All furniture covered in a layer of dust and dander. Pillowcases stained.TV control disgustingly grubby.Windows / doors covered in black mould.'Microwaved' breakfast was not edible. Ketchup had been left out and not refrigerated. Staff told us they didn't have a number to get hold of the boss.We had booked and prepaid for 2 nights but couldn't stay due to the poor standard. As we left, We were offered another room but declined due to poor cleanliness, service experience, and inedible food. This standard is not acceptable at any price.
