    Location was good

TV didn't work. Curtains too thin to block out light.

The hotel is located near stores, theater, restaurants, and bus station.

    Location; friendly staff.

Not having breakfast was a disadvantage.

    Bad

Shower drain was not working and it flooded the carpet; hotel then attempted to charge me for damages through no fault of my own.

    Very central and excellent staff.

Stairs were a problem for us, aged 85 and 92, but staff took our cases up when we arrived and down when we left.

    The location

Room smelt not very clean and lots of stairs to climb

    Clean, great location, but *very*...

Unfortunately this hotel was not what I was looking for. The room was right above a bus stop and the hotel is in a street that is very busy with students and bars. During your stay you have the choice to either stay awake all night because of loud passerbys and buses that continuously pick up passengers with loud engines, or to stay in a room without any ventilation if you choose to close the window since the room has no airconditioning. I went on a Tuesday, so dont expect that the noise is limited to the weekends. The room is clean, and the location is great, but if it is a restful night youre looking for, choose another hotel.

Really great location in town centre.

The receptionist was talking very loudly all day, which could be heard very clearly in the room due to the thin walls. He was especially loud in the morning. If you wish to sleep in in the morning, better bring ear plugs. The place could use a renovation, the paint in the room was pealing off the wall.

Its location was excellent The room was clean.

The soundproofing was poor. Could hear next doors alarm at 6.30 and the noise of the shower and water pipes. The road noise was obviously bey loud all through the night until about 4am and then deliveries early morning at 7. The windows let all the noise in. We didn’t sleep well

Location and staff - fab. Unbeatable location next to theatres and restaurants

The front bedrooms are on the road side and being a city centre, it is noisy. Bring ear plugs and you'll be fine. Also, no lifts and if you struggle with stairs this would be a problem.

The location and staff was excellent

My room was beside the reception, and I could hear the phone Dorbel ringing but was not too much of a problem

Fantastic location, clean and tidy.Friendly, helpful staff.

Ver noisy neighbours in adjacent room … but that not the fault of the hotel!

It is too expensive for a small room like that, and it has no facilities.

No lift, and have to carry the luggage to first floor. Everything is old in the room.

    6MelindaPosted on: 1-14-2026

The location is amazing and super close to everything. I didn’t find it noisy but it was January and I wear earplugs to sleep. The staff were helpful and let me check in early. The heater worked.

There are stairs to reception and the building and room is all a little old and dated. The shower was small and not suitable to tall people. Oxford is very expensive but this place was a cheaper option for the city centre.

Room on the main road in summer would be noisy if the window was open. In winter not a problem. Each time I've stayed they have been updating the decor, so there is decorating going on - paint odours, etc.

Not a problem for me, but the hotel is upstairs without any lift that I saw. Could be a problem for people with heart or mobility issues or with heavy luggage.
