Hampton by Hilton Oxford

The location was great. It was easily accessible with plenty of local restaurants and bars....having a Cinema so close was a bonus. Great staff.Lovely Breakfast

Loved when we went in room was written my name on the TV display nice touch. All new and clean, bathroom really nice with beautiful shower and sink. The staff downstairs made a nice hot chocolate for my son. Breakfast nice, my son loved the fresh waffles he made.

Didn’t like I couldn’t log in to the apps like Netflix unless I use my own account but they said they will soon offer it themselves.

Breakfast - all you can eat, wide variety of hot & coldLocation - yes it's out of town, but you're very close to the 3A bus stop which runs every 20 minutes. You're right next to a cinema, bowling and places to eat (recommend Oxy oriental), if you're into football (or a tourist wanting to see a game of 'soccer') then Oxford United's ground is next door. There was a game on during our stay, the ground was packed and (if you're concerned about the close proximity) absolutely no issues or unsociable behaviour after the final whistle.Cleanliness - very clean throughout.Helpful/attentive staff - we arrived 2 hours before check in, our room was ready and we were able to move in and (unlike premier inn) it didn't cost anything extra.Fitness room - didn't use it, but has a few cardio machines, a weight bench and dumbells going up to 20kgThe room has everything you'll need - hairdryer, even an iron & ironing board.

The bed!! Please get rid of the metal spring mattress! Any movement is accompanied by creeks and groans like a medieval galleon at full sail. It's also uncomfortable. One thing you have to get right is a comfortable bed!The hand basin water isn't very hot, so if you're a wet shaver, you might need to boil the kettle.

The hotel was very clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The bathroom was spotless, lovely big shower. Very good location. Despite being next to the football stadium, it was so quiet.

The bed was so uncomfortable. Terrible mattress quality so had very little sleep. Although the breakfast was included, and the selection was good, it was busy and staff could not keep up with demand. The cooked breakfast foods came out at different times so a complete meal couldn't be eaten! As there was home football match, parking was not available until later in the evening. A member of staff kindly resolved this for us though.

Fire alarm at 4.30 am, I do appreciate it’s probably not the hotels fault but it did result in a poor nights sleep. Also on the bed it felt like a summer duvet and I needed a blanket as was chilly at night despite the heating being on high.

I would prefer to have complimentary water in the room rather than having to ask at reception and due to demand it was hard to find a seat together at breakfast.

Staff were very accommodating and and helpful. Rooms were clean, tidy and a good size. Couldn't get the TV to work properly at first but the staff helped out quickly and successfully.

The buffet breakfast was not good at all. The scrambled eggs and beans were cold and the sausages were uninspiring. No other egg types on offer either. Continental breakfast looked ok but just made do with toast and tea.

The staff were very welcoming when we arrived. They provided clear and helpful information about the hotel. The room was spacious and the bathroom was sparkling! The breakfast was great and the croissants flaky and the hot food tasty.

The shower water tap fell off when one of us was in the shower. Also the curtains at the window were hooked up incorrectly so the main curtain could not be opened without the net curtain being drawn open at the same time. Also the pillows were very hard.

Too much walking along long corridors from our room to the breakfast room. Breakfast was not good, seemed that food was cooked for 6am eaters, but was dry and unappetising (cooked bacon was like leather and was difficult to cut with the knives provided) when we breakfasted at 9am. Loads of walking to and from food and drink to a table to eat. No teaspoons, difficult to remove a teabag from a cup with a thin stick, very unhelpful.

The breakfast was fair, staff were friendly and efficient, shower was good, rooms were quite quiet, TV was great.

The bed (more so the sofa bed was very uncomfortable), the room was slightly on the smaller side for the money that was paid, the breakfast wasn’t as featured as some of the other Hampton venues and the location is a little out of the way, in a good & bad way.

The rooms were very small, apart from the TV the stay made me feel I was in a travelodge room, the price for 1 night was very high

The breakfast was excellent and the room was spacious. The staff was friendly.

There is no way to shower without making the entire bathroom wet. I don't see why the shower door was designed like this.

Great staff and accommodation.

Breakfast a little bit of a let down. Sausages very dry and cardboard like. No tomatoes or mushrooms. Other than that a great stay.
