Pros +
- Bedding was luxurious; the pillows thick and soft. Staff extremely helpful. Quiet, green environment next to Thames path.
- Comfy bed, great location, nice facilities, incredible restaurant (especially breakfast)
- Location and the staff - they were friendly and attentive.
Cons -
- The spa treatments weren’t available on Sunday or Monday, the two days we were staying.
- All good. Not the fault of the hotel, but the surrounding area suffered from flooding so the walk to the Thames was not possible.
- We stayed for dinner which was really delicious however, although the restaurant was closed because they said the hotel wasn't busy we had to wait quite a long time to get any service after the initial order, the staff were very busy so not actually blaming them but it just seemed like they had too much to cope with.

Great location to walk into centre or get a bus. Uber ride was only £7.50. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Nice lounge with bar. Staff really attentive and accommodating. We had a large room for 3 people with walk in shower.
All good. Not the fault of the hotel, but the surrounding area suffered from flooding so the walk to the Thames was not possible.
The overall experience was really good. The room was set up for three as per booking and was really comfortable. There was a great selection at breakfast and I was thankful that my 14 year old was allowed to use the pool with me and his over 18 older brother.

Location was great hotel facilities bar/ room very comfortable
The leisure changing room facilities were quite dirty
Lovely clean hotel, large room, very clean and friendly staff
Nothing to fault
A fantastic hotel within walking distance of city centre. Staff are amazing, all of them were attentive and very friendly. I'd say the best hotel staff I've ever experienced. Rooms are excellent, very clean comfy and well laid out.Swimming pool and facilities, although small are clean and well maintained.A nice dining and bar area that's relaxed with a nice ambience.Breakfast offers vast choice of foods, all fresh and tasty. Particularly liked the buffet style English breakfast choices that were very tasty and well cooked.
Our only slight gripes were, the bed was a little bit too soft, but was comfy and the food served in the evening, although good quality had changes that were not advertised, such as homemade tortilla chips served instead of sour dough bread or brie served instead of Oxford blue cheese. Not really issues at all, but the food substitutions were annoying.
Good location and easy to walk into the City. Really useful to be able to park for 2 days of our stay. Helpful, friendly staff.Really good selection for breakfast. Quiet, comfortable rooms. Was easy to check in and out. Appreciated being able to Check in early.
Location
Advertising Spa facilities but it’s not run by themselves so was fully booked for our complete stay thus was the reason we choose this hotel very disappointing. Also the room advertisement as Queen rooms do not have this size beds and were pretty small rooms and defo not really premium
On arrival, Claire on Reception was very friendly and helpful. My sister and I were given honeycomb as a treat. The room was very clean and spacious. My favourite part was the bed, which was the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in. I even purchased the pillows and duvet for myself whilst I was away.
The pool was quite cold. In addition, when we ordered room service, we were not given any cutlery from the member of staff who delivered. Parking is also extremely expensive!
The location was good and the staff were friendly and responsive.
The mattress was not comfortable and the room amenities were not well maintained. The shower and toilet were old and the light operated all together or not at all.
The property is in a quiet green area in the southern part of Oxford. The ambience is truly comforting and welcoming. The breakfast is very good and the personnel managing the breakfast room is outstandingly nice and sympathetic.
Upon arrival, we were delighted to receive a room upgrade, a wonderful surprise after our long drive. The room itself was beautiful and spacious, with a lovely terrace overlooking the countryside. The hotel’s spa facilities, including the swimming pool and gym, were a great addition and we made full use of them. The staff were consistently helpful, and the buffet‑style breakfast was excellent.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable also the beds and pillows. It’s warm and the view in the gorgeous meadows is pretty uplifting.
The condition of the gym and the pool do not live up to the general standard of the hotel. Small gym, smelly, pool reeking of chlorine vapours, and very noisy with splashing and screaming kids, when I visited. Coed sauna and steam room not inspiring confidence in terms of comfort and cleanliness - Restaurant with pele sitting in their boxer shorts and flip flops - and smelling of stale fish.
Vivac manager very friendly and ensured I had everything I need - I have visited this hotel several times and hope to return again soon
Would like couple more regular tea bags rather than decaffeinated in tray - minor minor point
I enjoyed the swimming pool and the spa. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was clean.
The mattress was fine, but it could be more comfy.
Great location for the City, lovely rooms and public areas, friendly helpful staff.
Asked for something special for my husband's birthday. Bed was decorated with swans, rose petals a birthday card and chocolates. Was so grateful for this. We had a lovely stay The breakfast was something else. Had the most choice out of anywhere I have stayed. Beds were comfortable. Room was spotlessly clean. Nothing to fault.
Nothing not to like.
Really nice place, water unlimited, everyone was friendly. Breakfast is great!! Very big choice, not only classic English breakfast
