    Pros +

    • The staff were so friendly and professional. Checking constantly that our needs were being met. Also interested in what kind of a day we’d had. The air conditioner in the room made it easy to manage the room temperature.
    • This is not the first time I am staying her. The location is excellent, near to both bus station and railway station, and a short walk to town centre. As always the staff is nice and helpful. No breakfast is served, but there is a café on the ground floor and a Sainsbury branch just around the corner.
    • Very clean and lovely helpful staff

    Cons -

    • Nothing at all.
    • Very warm in there (it was February) but the AC sorted that.
    • Very cold in the room (radiator did not get very warm), shower had low water pressure and temperature. The hotel is transparent about not offering breakfast, which can be taken at separate cost at the adjacent café - but both businesses should at least negotiate a discount deal for guests.

The staff were super friendly. Great location. Spotlessly clean. Excellent value for money.

Very friendly staff, flexibility during check-in (spontaneous upgrade to larger room that was available quicker), catered to admin needs with invoicing.Fairly spacious room, tea amenities and cookies.

The hotel is really close to the station and easy to access all main locations. The girls at the front desk are friendly and helpful. It’s also above a supermarket, so very useful.

I’ve never had this happen to me before…but someone used my toilet when I was away and did not flush properly. I felt my privacy and space were very violated… especially as I was traveling alone. My room was at the end of the corridor, around a corner and at the side of the door for the laundry exit…so don’t think it’s covered by the security camera unfortunately. I did flag to the front desk but never heard anything back.Apart from that small issues…cups not washed, torn duvet cover etc. it’s an old hotel…and needs some upgrades.Main other issue was that when I put off the light switch, the charging point also shuts off. So could not charge my phone at night.

We arrived early (I had communicated this via e-mail in the week and had good communication) and the lady on the front desk was excellent. She offered to take our bags so that we could go exploring the city but she double checked to see if the room was ready - it was so we were able to access the room early. This was ideal. The room was a family room and catered well for 3 people who were in the city for the football. We had enough space in the room for all of us to have our own "area" if you will as the room size was excellent. The bathroom was clean and a decent size. The lady on the front desk was pleasant and polite and very helpful. The location was close to the train station and away from main city centre but within walking distance. It was surprisingly quiet at night considering our location.

Nothing - the hotel was excellent and met our needs well.

Very spacious rooms, didn’t expect to get a bedroom and separate corridor to the bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. There’s no lift to the upper floors, but the reception gentleman was nice enough to carry all our suitcases upstairs for us.

Bathroom offers a separate shower, but the glass doors couldn’t be fully closed so the floor got wet after showers

Comfortable beds, lovely accommodating staff. Close to train station. Very clean.

Stairs, no lift. Room very small but clean and comfortable

Great location for walking distance into main centre and short walking distance from train station. The room was superb, a double room was booked. Very comfortable bed and lovely furnishings. Kettle in room and biscuits.....Hair dryer also in room and worked well. Beautiful bathroom and lovely towels, also shower and body gel.

Pressure of shower in bathroom, was ok but not brilliant.

Location.. The first receptionist was very friendly

The step between room and bathroom high and dangerous... The room was VERY HOT could not adjust it at fan was too noisy worst of all the air conditioning units were outside the room making it very difficult to sleep.... Mattress too hard and high . The receptionist on checkout asked how our stay was then ignored the answer... Seriously why ask!!! The left luggage was not secure luckily we had nothing of value in our cases

Location is great. Good bed, excellent bathroom. Complimentary biscuits!

Convenience to station and breakfast cafe quality is great - baby spinach and balsamic vinegar side tells me we still have a great cook here. Room, bed comfort, up-to-date details, sound-proofing great.

Shower head size and character inadequate. We want to get wet and warm all over, quite quickly (saves water in the long run).

Friendly greeting on arrival, clean room, updated, amazing location near the train station. Clean linens. Responsive staff. The breakfast had to be paid for separately but was on site.

The mattress was very hard and had severe lumps which stuck into my back. We were in the family room and I am referring to the largest bed.

Very nice staff. Very clean. Very functional.

I would have preferred a bigger duvet.
