    Pros +

    • Location was good for walking into Oxford proper. (15min) Had up to date furnishings in room.
    • Location was very close to Oxford main sites. Breakfast was excellent. Bed was big and very comfortable.
    • La stanza (n.10) era esattamente come indicata nella descrizione. Era ampia e dotata persino di un angolo dotato di frigorifero, lavello e fondo a microonde.

    Cons -

    • The restaurant was just ok with the pizza below average. The shower in the room was without a place to hold soap and the bathroom could use some hooks for clothes.
    • Could not tell from the map how narrow the streets were. Parking was on the pavement/curb, not in an actual parking lot. Fan in our room did not function. We booked 2 rooms but they were in separate sections/buildings instead of adjoining.
    • La pulizia della camera è stata a volte sommaria e le lenzuola sono state cambiate una volta ogni 7 giorni: troppo poco per un soggiorno di due settimane.

It's location is fantastic. The room was amazing. Breakfast was easy and good.

Breakfast could start at 7, would help. The heated floor in the bathroom put out too much heat and required keeping the bathroom door closed. The room needed minor repairs (carpet loose on the stairs, kitchen faucet handle came off).

    Clean rooms, nice bathroom.

Paper thin walls...several outlets weren't working properly

We had a delightful stay at Ethos, clean, comfortable, all the room details one needs. Very friendly and helpful staff. The Ethos restaurant next door has cheerful and attentive service, delicious breakfast with the room, and other meals/drinks if you wish. The hotel has a commitment to fewer plastics and sustainable practices. We were so pleased with the extras in our room that we hadn’t expected, yet made good use of such as 2 sets of dishes, and a warm towel rack. We walked to Oxford sites, and appreciated that the hotel was located in a quiet residential neighborhood. We will be back!

Friendly staff. Location good - just 10 minutes walk into city centre. Breakfast was nice enough. Room has a fridge and wine glasses.

Room was cold, no radiator in bedroom. There was a thermostat but it wasn't reading temperature accurately. Was charged £29 to park my car on a patch of gravel next to the building. £29!!! For a one night stay. Daylight robbery. I accept paying a charge to park but that amount is obscene. Walls are paper-thin so was woken up by an unpleasant, hacking cough from the guest in the next room. So in reality, when you include car parking charge, we paid £193 for one night, in a twin room and breakfast which was at best 3 star. This is not good value for money.

Location for the city . 10min walk into the city .Good breakfast , great helpful staff.

    Parking was extra. Slightly noisy.

    Clean, quiet, nicely decorated, cute

The modular bathroom in the room wasn’t ideal as we were friends sharing, but it was done well and I can see they were making the most of a small space to provide an en suite.

Nice and clean hotel nearby the city centre of Oxford. Good breakfast and amazing service!

    6JuliaPosted on: 2-9-2026

    Room was nice .

Charges in cafe, drink prices shown, but no where did I see mentions of a service charges, 2 x £11.95 cocktails and slice of cheese cake total bill £38.14

The location was good, that’s all I can say about it

It was dated, worn and very basic

    9JamesPosted on: 1-29-2026

Bit of a quirky hotel but still very nice. Breakfast was excellent. Staff are very nice. Facilities in rooms very good. Hotel layout is "unusual" making it a bit quirky but that was no drawback.

Only issue is with parking which isn't ideal but we got by with what was available.

The location was good being close enough to walk to the town centre however the apartment was shabby and rundown and desperately needed some TLC. There was spilt milk in the fridge which had been there for a while and absolutely stunk. It was very difficult to shut the shower door and the water temperature fluctuated between freezing cold and boiling hot making for a very uncomfortable experience.

Shabby and rundown desperately in need of some TLC

We had a good stay - many thanks. We have stayed before so are used to the location. We could have used an extra blanket at night because of the cold... Having said that the breakfast was awesome (as always) and the reception great, friendly and very helpful.

Please see about the blanket at night.

The breakfast was so nice and staff very friendly

    Pillows were too soft.

The staff and food could not have been better.

The flat that we were in had water on the floor, deteriorating linoleum, a terrible mold odor and spider webs.

Excellent location to both park and ride and the city. Reasonable price for B&B with friendly staff. Our room was a decent size above the cafe with coffee, fridge and enormous TV. Bathroom OK with a static overhead shower, no mixer rail. Heating was fine with an extra plug in radiator if needed - it’s a big bed with sheets and blanket, but despite no duvet we weren’t cold. Good choice of cereals, juice and coffee for breakfast which was included in our booking - we had the full English too which set us up for the day. We were able to leave our suitcase after checkout at the property whilst exploring Oxford for the day. Use the park and ride for £4.50, it’s well worth it to save on parking and congestion charges. Bus on main road is very frequent and only a few stops away from Redbridge car park. Easy 15 minute walk into town.

Nothing to dislike, the price we paid was reflective of the property.

Clean, comfortable, great breakfasts included in price. Lovely hot shower. Had a good night’s sleep on comfortable mattress. Friendly, helpful staff. Just outside congestion charge area!

Don’t book here if you want to be able to walk down to reception and restaurant in the same building. The hotel is in four sites on the same street, so you do you have to brave the elements to get to your breakfast! The room we were in (104) had a wet room bathroom, so spent some time wading around on wet floor after having a shower!

The free upgrade was a great surprise

The bathroom toilet was leaking amd the flush was very weak amd the microphone shower head didn't work
