Cons -
- The room was small (I booked the double) - the bed essentially fills the entire room, with no table space or desk to put anything on besides on the bed - which means that if you are ordering breakfast at the hotel, you have it in your room, the staff member had to place the tray on the bed as there was nowhere else to put it, the whole exchange felt a bit awkward. The first floor bedrooms are level with flats/studios across an alleyway, meaning the windows are directly level - meaning people can see into the bathroom unless you have the blinds closed. The idea of complimentary tea and coffee at the bar is nice but I would much rather have had a kettle and basic tea items in my room - it again felt awkward because the bar staff has to boil a kettle to make drinks - as someone who drinks a lot of tea it felt a bit awkward ordering it every time, and going downstairs to get it.Similarly, the bar area was really cool in terms of decor, but the tables were low so it's not a place to work, hang out or eat. For such beautiful decor and vibey place, it would be nice to spend a bit more time there without feeling like its a place more suited for sleeping only.
- Tap in en-suite was loose, shower was way to cold considering it was December, usb charging points didn’t work. Overall I think the rooms need some attention especially at nearly £300 a night cost.
- Staff , breakfast, room is so small , overpriced , no elevator

The theme of the hotel was very as atmospheric and some lovely design features
The room was very small and the bathroom was not very comfortable due to limited space The price of the room was expensive and we have soon the room rate at 89pound nearly half of what we paid The breakfast was extremely small and although tea and coffee was available down in the reception area no facilities were in the room We had to go down flights of stairs to get a coffee
Beds are so comfortable, Breakfast was lovely, staff are so friendly and accommodating
Rooms are a little short on space so if you can go a bit bigger
So clean! Amazing staff, so attentive with everything you needed. Hotel breakfast was lovely. Rooms had everything you needed including curlers and straighteners. Couldn’t knock it- absolutely amazing!
Stylish Fab service Lovely complimentary prosecco and nibbles
We were there during a heat wave and it was very warm but there was a good fan and windows could be opened
Great location, quirky and we really enjoyed breakfast in bed. Great bathroom
Room was small and a bit warm
We loved everything about the hotel. The decor, the staff, the location. Clean, comfortable hotel, funky and good value for money, tasty breakfast, parking nearby. It had it all! We’ll definitely be back.
Loved the small touches- sweets, water, fruit, afternoon glass of bubbly, good pillows and duvet, breakfasts in bed.
We stayed in the room which was located in the basement. Slight smell of damp in corridor. Had an issue with hot water, which was fixed quickly, however it was too hot in the end. Be aware that water pressure is really low due to the hotel being eco-friendly.
Good location
Noise of walking past outside room was way too loudWifi was awful even though it says superfast!
Amazing staff and all the extras made the stay
Other visitors were not very respectful of the time of night and the fact that others maybe be sleeping eventhough they were still awake
Beautiful building and interesting rooms. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and knowledgable
The blinds are not blackout blinds, there’s shutters too but it was so light all night from the street lights outside and then from dawn, not restful and such an easily sorted oversight. Does the heated tile rail need to be in front of the toilet? The bathroom is already very cramped but we both had to sit in the toilet sideways and turn the rail off to stop betting burned.
Such an amazing hotel, lovely staff and the room was so comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious! Definitely going to book again, we loved it :)
The location was great, it was in close proximity to the train station
Whilst breakfast was included, which was great. You had to eat it in your room. There was no space to eat it in my room and I had to do so standing up at the bottom of the bed.
We enjoyed our stay here during a short trip to Manchester. The staff was very friendly and courteous.
Room was pleasant and clean. I like that they had Netflix already and TV was nice. I loved the hair dryers and curling irons as an added bonus. Liked the soap, shampoo etc and thought the room guide was very cool. Front desk young lady seemed nice but I could not understand a single thing she said. Extremely soft spoken and thickly accented, another staff member translated for me so that was nice. I work with many people from South Asia so my ears are friendly to accents.
There is no such thing as a hot shower. It will be a tepid-room temp shower, there is a sign explaining why and it seems weird that the water from the sink is hot and the water in the shower is lukewarm The floor is not level in many areas so I tripped on the hard stone a few times. Walls are thin and I could hear the bartender make every single drink.Breakfast was pretty good but I had to beg/ask for a piece of bread, roll potatoes anything to go with the omelet. Be ready to have your breakfast time and order ready upon check-in.
Staff are excellent & friendly, bed is super comfortable & soft, location is superb - 2 mins from all the action in the Northern quarter.
Main gripe, and others have said too, is that in my basement room (which was a premium room I paid more for), the shower had only two modes - stone cold or scalding. Wasn't that it fluctuated, it was just binary - one or the other. Which meant no morning shower. Also the soundproofing is dreadful - the clue is that they supply you with earplugs by default. You can hear any footsteps in the rooms above, and all the conversation or TVs that are on above or next to you. Very much a hostel experience. And while it's lovely that they bring breakfast to your room, my cooked breakfast was stone cold - presume it had been sitting somewhere before it was brought to me.Beyond that - the hotel is tiny - the bar, reception & lounge are all the same 15ft x 15 ft space, so you can't really hang out there for any length of time.Wifi doesn't really work in the basement (where my room was).Room didn't have any natural light.Bathroom isn't large enough to turn round in.Won't be back.
The staff and facility couldn't be failted
We only stayed 1 night and as such the room was.perfect, however , without seeing the other rooms I cannot comment if they are the same. Our room had no wardrobe facility which for 1 night was perfect, any longer and it would have been a problem
The breakfast was lovely and the staff were extremely kind and attentive. The room I stayed in was also gorgeous!
