Pros +
- A good location. The décor , particularly in the public areas, was very good.
- Central location with easy access to major transport links. Great comfy bed with Nespresso coffee machine in the room.
- I liked the quirkiness of the room
Cons -
- I had booked a twin room, but the beds were so close together, it may as well have been a double. Insufficient coffee in the room and no milk. The breakfast experience was poor.
- The room was not warm enough and that the telephone is not functioning, preventing us from calling them. Also the room itself could use an update
- I paid for an upgrade to then have stained carpets

Location, friendliness of staff, modern hotel.
They sent too many emails leading up to my stay trying to get me to upgrade. I lost count of the number of emails - very annoying
The location was very good. Room was at adequately arranged and well presented.
The room was too cold. It could’ve been pre-warmed. I had to wear my tracksuit to keep warm.
Location
Very dated and worn, some staff were nice, others very disinterested in guests, felt like an inconvenience to engage them e.g. walked up to the reception desk at one point and staff member was staring at computer typing and I said “Hi, how are you ?” And he just continued to type/ stare at computer and say “what can I do for you” feels a bit off/icy for a hotel and more akin to a GP receptionist.
Everything especially the very friendly and helpful staff.
Hmmm... I didn't really find it a problem but if I'd been paying Saturday night priced I may well have. The handrail in the bathtub was so loose I didn't dare put any weight on it and the thing the water came out of in the bath flew out of its socket when I turned the taps on.
I was so overwhelmed with how friendly the staff were. I wanted for nothing. I had a corner suite and it was beautiful. The location is excellent near the station. I will be recommending this hotel to anyone who says they’re going to Manchester.
Nothing. I thought the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was excellent and my full English breakfast was exceptional. I can’t fault this hotel.
Location handy for train station. Bar area is nice.
Lights didnt work in either me or my colleagues room, my colleagues tv didnt work, my heating wouldnt go on and the mirror was extremely dusty
I was disappointed with the bedroom felt like a box I was in goodbye partner we did try to upgrade but didn't get an email reply in time
Several people including Earth was disappointed that when taken to a table in a 70% empty dining room we was placed next to a man that looked a bit scruffy we asked if we could move tables being polite to the junkerman because I needed some space when we went to the buffet bar and returned we realized it all four tables was now full with strangers in a line as if we were the same party when we could have been scattered over the restaurant and had some so sort of privacy to eat our breakfast when the breakfast did arrive it was cold the bacon looked like it had been caught several hours before and the beams that come was virtually non-existent by act to ask for some more it was like a child portion totally disappointed and will not be returning
Room and bathroom we're spacious, clean and well equipped. Everything in good condition
Poor lunch and evening menu
The staff, the look and feel of the rooms was beautiful. The food was fabulous too
The rooms was so cold and we could not enjoy the facilities of the beautiful room we had. We did have maintenance come but it didn't make a difference. We went out and 5 hours later it had only gone up 2 degrees
Great location and great hotel staff.
No coffee machine in room. Old style kettle. Love to stay at Mal for those little extras you don’t get anywhere else, so disappointed.
Great location, lovely room.
The breakfast experience was a let down, underdone eggs and not many options; the coffee machine was broken and we weren’t given a menu. Also the fire alarm went off randomly at about 9:30, there was no signage that there was a test planned so that scared the life out of us.
Location was excellent and value for money was excellent too.
Room was slightly small.
Friendly staff, easy check in/out. Great location.
Nothing really.
Room and breakfast were really good and the location was great for piccadilly station but a little bit out of the way for where we were going.
Location and early check in.
We got sent a email to upgrade for 3 pound so I did. When we got there the so called up grade was not any different. I had booked a twin they put us in a double that was not an issue. However I think the hotel is a little tired. It was noticeably getting old with the bathroom. The bedroom was possible 3 star grading. I chose the malmason as I have tried many hotel but not this group. My recommendations are for parking and central book this hotel. If you want more comfort look around at more updated hotels.
The location
Overpriced for a standard room which didnt include breakfast £99 for 1 night is overpriced for a small room.
Great suite room. Bar always lively and not stale like others. Food offer decent. Good location.
