Lovely room, great location, easy to park. Lovely staff

Loud music from the bar but stopped by 11.30pm, quite happy with that as it’s a pub!

    4SaraPosted on: 3-12-2025

The property was not too far from the city centre and it was easy to go back and forth, and it was also only 15 minutes away from the airport.I guess the positive of being above a pub is that if you're thirsty or hungry, you don't have to go far!

    1. The carpets were dirty.2. There were basically no wall plugs next to the bed. The only plugs were the ones on the opposite side of the room, one of which was only to be used for the TV.3. The bottle of shower gel in the shower was broken4. The rooms were boiling hot and, despite turning down the radiators, they did not turn off.

    No breakfast, location ok

Not very clean. Bathroom quite dirty. Music from pub below extremely noisy till after 12.

Property description isn’t accurate and misleading

The property was not described properly which meant my disabled dad wasn’t able to stay at the hotel - the landlord said her property detail make it very clear it’s not suitable for disabled which is clearly wrong. The hotel says upstairs isn’t accessible instead of saying all accommodation isn’t accessible friendly.

    6PeterPosted on: 2-4-2025

It did the job the hotel does need a revamp very dated and holes in the ceiling from what looks like a water leak

    4AmyPosted on: 2-2-2025

The location was really great. The bed was comfortable enough. The staff were helpful and friendly

There was karaoke until nearly midnight and the room is not sound proof. The decor was very dated and the bedding was thin. The spare duvet in the wardrobe had a dark stain in the middle of it and no covers to use it if it was needed.

    4JoycePosted on: 1-25-2025

It looked nice from the outside! The bed sheets were clean!

The room was so drab and out of date. The lighting in the room was terrible - not even a bedside lamp. Everything was outdated - like a room from the seventies. It wasn’t exactly cheap at £95 with no breakfast. Could have gone to an upmarket hotel in city centre for less!

Comfortable beds clean and location for us was fine

Only one member of staff on duty serving a busy bar so had to wait a while to check in, either no explanation as to how to access pub or bedroom or even where they were. Very poor lighting in room and toilet seat broken. We can understand that because he was on his own he was extremely busy but but they knew we were coming so we thought they may have had more staff on?

Old but pretty. Even though it was noisy from downstairs, it was still so comfy and felt connected and cosy and the noise was actually life

    Old, clean, peaceful

    Nice staff in the pub

landlord of the pub clearly in too deep though, not a clue what she was doing. Bathroom had a big puddle of water upon arrival, staff assured us it wasn't a leak from the ceiling which I pointed out it was and wiped it up with a towel and offered us a free pint as an apology. When we came back from night out the ceiling was gushing with water and the emergency contact being the landlord didn't answer, we needed buckets and towels but we had no access to them. The landlord didn't apologise for not getting in touch during the night and said a free pint was sufficient. Absolutely avoid this place!!!

Girl on bar was lovley! Good location not too far from the centre, welcoming atmosphere in the Spread Eagle :)

More staff, only seen one staff member during my stay and she was amazing but totally run off her feet.

Bar prices were excellent value for beer, the rooms were of a good standard compared to some pub accommodation. Situ of the The Spread Eagle was close to the tram but also a variety of pubs and restaurants.

The rooms were adequate and the corridors and rooms of the accommodation were extremely high temperature. There was a party on until midnight with extremely loud music but finished promptly at 11.55 but it's a busy pub so to be expected.

Spacious twin for two adults. Double windows. Bed linen and comfort excellent. Spacious bathroom with window and efficient shower. Friendly staff

Ugly lighting in room, especially bedside lamps. Only one socket. Central heating too high throughout building — turn it down!

    6IanPosted on: 11-28-2024

Staff friendly. Room warm and clean. Beds clean and comfortable. Very good shower. Good pub and parking on site.

TV didn't work but not a big issue for a one night stay when we were only there to sleep. Tiny sized toilet paper. Quite a lot of traffic noise. Needs a bit of a spruce up as there's some water damage after a roof leak but that doesn't really spoil anything on a short stay.

Blonde girl behind the bar was very nice and very helpful

Heating on full blast and there was abit of mold on the ceiling
