Excellent staff, really clean room with great facilities and a really good location

Right by the canal street of the gay village which is a night life hub so a bit noisy at night depending on which side of the hotel you are on. Ear plugs are provided though!

Couldn’t fault our stay at Leven Manchester — great location, genuinely friendly staff, excellent facilities, and an unexpected upgrade to a penthouse suite (not clouding our judgement, I promise

Our only gripe is that we only stayed one night at Leven Manchester — which was clearly a mistake. We’ll **absolutely** be back next time we’re in Manchester, and for longer.

We didn’t do breakfast only because we’re not breakfast people. But, as we got an upgrade to a suite, we got some croissants in.This was a very comfortable suite, a short walk from the station and tram link, in the heart of the city.

Just an added wish - it was very wet in Manchester, so I would have preferred to hang up my coat as I entered the suite. The wardrobe was also too short for it!

    The rooms were beautifully decorated

After reading that the property was loud I asked for a room on the quiet side because we had a big event the next day. I received a reply that was no problem and a quieter room had been booked and a note was made on my file. During the night glass bins were emptied outside and people on the street were noisy but I understand this isn’t something within the hotels control. But we were woken up before 8am with a worker hammering into a the brick wall outside with a chisel!! This work was taking place right outside the room (unfortunately I can’t share the video showing how loud this was but photo attached). The very loud banging went on and on when I politely said to reception I was told oh yes we told him not to use a power tool before 10am but we said he could use his other tools to start the work his other tools bring a massive hammer into a brick wall… no apology. The work went on all morning on multiple floors until 12.30! Regardless of the fact I had asked for a quiet room people come to hotel to relax and this was unacceptable. I emailed the hotel with the details but after 2 weeks they still have not responded.

Superb place. Very clean and tidy staff were impeccable and really helpful. When we arrived we found out we had been upgraded free of charge to a penthouse suite! Absolutely wonderful. Never stayed in such a lovely place. Would 100% stay again.

    Great room with comfy bed

We didn’t realise how loud the locals would be. They were still partying at 5.30am! But if you had ear plugs you’ll be fine

    Not a lot

    9DuffPosted on: 2-1-2026

Loved the staff, room, location and style.

Very noisy at night from the street noise and also from guests walking upstairs. The earplugs didn’t really help.

    9JonnyPosted on: 1-31-2026

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, the birthday upgrade was a lovely touch, the room was great and the hotel bar was also v good.

The only thing I have to feed back is that the bathroom drains in our room were emitting an unpleasant sulphurous smell, which could really do with some action.

    Great rooms. Friendly staff.

Street noise in the early hours
