The Sir Thomas Hotel

Excellent facilities and classic decor make this hotel a perfect place to stay. The breakfast is great. The location is both convenient and quiet.

Our tv didn’t work which was a bit of a nuisance but not a disaster

Location was great. You can walk around the city and see all interesting places.

Breakfast was quite horrible. Traditional breakfast was cold and often late. Proper bread and other parts of continental breakfast would have been appreciated.

Excellent location and staff extremely helpful. Room was small but clean but lift was very slow and long corridors for dragging luggage.

Not a major issue but bedrooms would benefit from a revamp.Breakfast has changed since we were last here,it was previously waiter service and quality was better.Still a good breakfast included in price!

The location was great, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were so nice especially Nathan and the guy that was on this morning at breakfast time. The lady that checked us in was a bit rude and sharp but we didn’t let that ruin the stay as the rest of the staff were really lovely

Nice hotel with all the amenities we needed. We had a large room and bathroom and our beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. They served a full hot breakfast buffet that was very nice.

No complaints other than we would not have felt safe walking around after evening. The location was our only concern but we felt fine during the day.

very central location

Hotel is a bit dirty, although room itself was clean. There was a mess up with the key system and other people staying at the hotel opened our room while we were sleeping in the middle of the night. We woke up in shock and fear as we didn't know what was happening. Was a serious safety and security issue, which we felt was not taken seriously by the staff.

Located close to train, bus, Port, and downtown. Historic building and union theme.

Top floor was warm.

The location was great central and near to the train station, the room was very a good size with comfortable beds, bathroom was spacious and clean with a great shower, breakfast was very good

luggage storage but we knew they didn't offer this service before we went

The bed.

The room layout was a bit strange. Room was missing bits like shampoo, shower caps, a telephone in the room. Wasn't any air conditioning so the room was very warm for our stay. We did request a fan, which we did receive. Beds were too close. Breakfast was bit odd, every day was different. Tuesday was just traditional breakfast, Wednesday and Thursday was Buffet of Traditional and then Friday was Menu ordering.Hotel was booked out while we stayed, didn't see many other guests and just a dead quiet restaurant every time we returned to our room. Which is sad to see. Staff were lovely any time we spoke to them.

The location was fantastic

The room was a deluxe room there was no mini fridge no complimentary water. It was 25 degrees no air con so had to open window which because of location was very noisy. The bed was so small and very hard. We had very little sleep.

The room was basic and exactly what i expected, the hotel was friendly and clean. I didnt realise we had breakfast included which was a great spread where you helped yourself. The dinning room is nice, clean and spacious.The staff were helpful, super friendly and attentive and answered all questions in a polite manner.

The shower wasnt very powerful. Thats all.

1. Nobody was in the reception.2. They dont have storage for luggages, they recomended the one in lime street station and said it was 5£ each. We had to pay 80£ for 4.3. It was not enough toilet paper in our bathroom, and it was already open.4. The bed was in poor condition, I felt everything in my back.5. The toilet roll dispenser was broken.

Location, very central. Room adequately equipped. Callum, who works in the bar, is a real asset to the hotel staff. Such a polite, friendly and helpful young man. Was a pleasure to talk to him. Breakfasts were excellent. Good quality and well cooked and presented.

Room decor was very dark.

It was a lovely hotel, beds were comfortable.

The shower screens weren’t long enough as the floor was flooded each time we showered. There was no-one to check us in, we wandered around the restaurant and eventually found someone in the kitchen. Staffing was disorganised at breakfast. The second morning it was slightly better.

Room was a good size, very clean and sufficient towels. Lovely breakfast and choice. Perfect location and car parking facilities
