    • Location
    • Location superb. Within walking distance of everything. Staff were super friendly especially Jamie in the restaurant. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
    • Excellent location right beside the famous Mathew Street. Beautiful clean hotel.

    Cons -

    • No fridge in the room, no glasses or cups.
    • Need a thicker mattress topper if pushing twin beds together. We could feel the join in the middle. Our room was a bit on the small side but our friends had a decent size room which we had booked for them. Not all rooms have a view, but that's no different to a lot of city centre hotels in old buildings.
    • The heating was broke, the room was very cold. Their was only one chef on so we had to wait over 1 hour for are main meal.

Everything except our room was cold however we were given a portable heater

    Location

No plugs near a mirror. Difficult when getting ready for a night out. Lighting not great.

    Didn’t have breakfast

The heating wasn’t working and the room was very cold

    Friendly staff and excellent location

Although I booked well in advance, I still ended up in the room closest to all the Mathew Street action, without heating in winter, WiFi or proper lighting. For some reason I got the wheelchair friendly room which meant the sink was at knee height!

Great central location. Good sized room and bathroom with lots of free gel, shampoo and conditioner

A bit noisy from the bars in Matthew St. below

    8GethinPosted on: 2-20-2026

Location on 1st floor which was goodBreakfast was excellent with a variety of choice

Plugs in room need to be near bed so can plug phone in.Socket needed by mirror for people who are doing their hair and want to plug hairdryer or curling tongues in.

Location was great and staff were lovely

Issue with heating system was advised to use upon arrival and we were told the water would be affected that evening and may not be resolved until later the next day. This resulted in us having to get up early to shower and use the bathroom. For the standards and price of this hotel I expected more.

Centre of town, everything on the doorstep

Needs a dedicated unloading area on arrival/ departure due to traffic wardens all over the place

    Location hotel.was lovely beatles theme

Most of my family got a free room upgrade. As it was my birthday and I messaged the hotel days before for an upgrade I never received a message back

We come yearly to your hotel and always enjoy it. Clean, friendly staff, great breakfast and perfect room

Before we have had a fridge in our room. This had obviously been removed which was a little disappointing. But only a minor point .

Great city centre location around the corner from The Cavern Club.

Heating was broken making the room very hot. The staff warned us but the problem couldn't be fixed.

    Great location

The large mirror fixed to the wall in the bedroom was no where near a 240 volt socket so my wife found it impossible to plug in her hair straighteners and see what she was doing in the mirror, think you need to locate a socket close to the mirrors.

    Excellent location Friendly staffFabulous artwork

    7TraceyPosted on: 2-18-2026

Great location. Staff friendly and helpful

Rooms not refreshed with coffee, milk etc, although provided when asked

    4LuisaPosted on: 2-17-2026

What we loved was the location - it's brilliantly central for all the main attractions and the carpark.

Air conditioning in the room was broken and it was freezing. Ropey heater was provided to start with, but then better heater arrived after we asked for it. Not very professional. Breakfast was pretty poor. The lack of proper service (hot water tank for tea and coffee) was not commensurate with the price of the hotel. Dirty air con unit in breakfast room. Generally felt tatty.

    10JoannePosted on: 2-17-2026

Breakfast was lovely. Gutted they didn’t do pancakes as we were there on pancake day but not really an issue as there was plenty of food for breakfast. Loved the whole Beatles theme but that’s what we chose the hotel for for my Beatles fan daughter. So was perfect. Staff were always friendly and helpful if there was any issues.

The service door hangers need to be more clearer. We don’t get our rooms cleaned or towels changed due to the door hangers not being clear but it was rectified as soon as we mentioned it to staff and they were more than happy to help.
