    Pros +

    • Location is good, close to amenities, transport, beach and restaurants
    • Location, room, breakfast
    • lovely cosy room, right next to south road & the beach so good if your travelling. our room was the seaview, it was not the biggest but it felt nice & cosy like our bedroom rather than a hotel room. stocked with essentials and even a mini fridge which we enjoyed. beds and pillows are really comfortable too

    Cons -

    • No lift
    • Room needed a blackout blind as light getting round the curtain kept me awake, no fridge in the room
    • Room a little small.

Breakfast was delicious. Staff were great.

    Room a little small.

    Nice staff and generous breakfast

Nice view but the room was not as large as the one we had before and nor was the bed. I thought it was a bit overpriced.

    It was a good stay.

I had a very pleasant two night stay at The Royal Hotel. My room was comfortable and the staff very friendly. The breakfasts were excellent and there is a far more extensive breakfast menu than most hotels. This is also a top location with Crosby Beach and Anthony Gormley's Another Place on the doorstep and Waterloo station an 8 minute walk away offering frequent trains into Liverpool city centre and also the Hill Dickinson Stadium

I was a little disappointed that the reception staff, when I checked out at about 8:00am could not take my booking to stay again suggesting I did it online.

A perfect stay in this family hotel. The staff we extremely attentive and checkin was super quick Room was modern and smelt fresh. Great facilities in the room and rhe previous comments don't lie, the bed and pillows are super comfy. Great located to watch footie at Hill Dickenson stadium. The breakfast had an Great range of foods ftom mixed berry yoghurt, croissants and of course the full experience English which was the best I've had in a long time. I hope to stay in this little gem again and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you do much to the team at the Royal for looking after us.

Very friendly staff, clean, warm and the facilities were as needed. Rooms were a decent size and set out as requested. The breakfast was lovely with a wide choice of buffet alongside freshly cooked options to order. Wonderful.

A very comfortable, traditional hotel. There’s a great choice and quality food on offer at breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful. The surrounding environment is attractive. It is easy and quick to get into central Liverpool. Overall it was a perfect choice of hotel for myself and my family.

    Really accommodating and friendly staff!

It’s slightly dated but it does suit the style! Car park really tight and limited spaces. I was fortunate to get the last space in the car park, unfortunate it was next to a huge transit van and took a 48 point turn and climbing over my passenger seat to exit the car!

The room appeared recently refurbished and was very clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very nice.

Window interior could have done with a clean, but that was the only bit of dirt I found in the room.

Good location, helpful and friendly staff. Good choice for breakfast

It's an old hotel, with thin walls so can hear noise from other residents.
