- it is just ok....no problem found
- Not the best.
- The staff were pleasant and welcoming, and Tracy in particular was very helpful getting us the information we needed to attend a funeral on our departure morning. My review attached and below does not refer to the staff at the hotel.
Cons -
- no Air condition
- Booked a double bed specifically and given single twin beds, arrived to find it’s a migrant and benefits hotel, not a bad thing until woken by a call to prayer on either a phone or tv full volume. Was told I’d be able to get a refund for the single bed etc but still haven’t heard a thing.
- Our bedroom window would not open, and our shower was leaking into the toilet area. There were ceiling tiles down in the corridor outside our room on our arrival, and the fragments/dust had been scattered around the hall by the many children running around the hotel - we were concerned there might have been asbestos present - it had not been cleaned up during the length of our stay. The hotel was being used to accomodate people/children in need, an admiral thing to do, however, there were many children running around at night creating lots of noise above our room, and dangerously in our view, around the breakfast room in the morning - had we known the hotel was being used in this way prior to booking, we would not have stayed with you - we should have been informed of this during the booking process to allow us to decide. The breakfast itself was poor.I raised the issues with the hotel in your feedback form prior to leaving. Given all the above issues, I am requesting a partial refund please.I have photos of the issues if you wish to see them.

Staff were friendly
The hotel ius being used as a housing facility for what appeas to be assylum seekers/refugees and persons without a permanent residence. - there should be a disclaimer when booking this hotel, as there were people including children roaming the corridoors in pyjama's and passing cooked foods and pots across hallways.
The dove hand soap, body wash and shampoo was a great touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my entire 2 day stay. The smell of the hotel when you first enter was very pleasant and the location was ideal for where I needed to go.
The room was a bit cold and I could feel/hear when the other guests opening and closed their doors as they're very heavy. The breakfast was very basic but perfect for myself. No options for dinner, you have to leave or get a delivery.
comfy bed and warm room. Able to make drink in my room late at night. good choice at breakfast.
the position of the tv on the wall in relation to the bed, as it was not in line with the bed but at an offset angle. No cups to make a hot drink at breakfast and some tables were left with uncleared plates, bowls etc although it was towards the end of breakfast.
friendly staff, comfortable bed
Room and bathroom was quite small, furnishings quite basic. my friend spilt some tonic water on the carpet and when she wiped it up the cloth was filthy so the carpets could definitely do with a deep clean
I liked the helpfulness of staff. The hotel is clearly being used to host asylum seekers and homeless families - I have no objection but the breakfast area was consequently crowded and there were lots of children running around. It was a bit cramped and overwhelming. There was also a baby crying during the night. This is not a political point as I am not judging anyone's circumstances but I paid for a peaceful stopover and I don't think the accommodation is appropriate fir serving so many purposes.
Bad
Smell when you walk in. Receptionist very scruffy. I think it is being used as bed and breakfast accommodation for homeless people.
Easy to find
Tv wasn’t on the internet for steaming but used my own off my phone for Netflix etc
Breakfast was disappointing due to the presence of permanent residents guests at this hotel. I was overwhelmed to note that this hotel did not declare at the time of taking my booking that I as a paying guest will share my stay with asylum seekers.
Your website should make it clear that your policy is to share the accommodation with asylum seekers. Had I known this it was highly likely that I would not have chosen to stay here
The checking in was quick. The check out was very quick. The beds were comfortable. Parking was free and there were many parking spaces. The buffet breakfast was good. The heating worked well.
The table and the bathroom door in one of the rooms had large some large scratches/dents. The top of handwash bottle in the second room had some makeup on it.
Rooms nice and clean, loved the restaurant next door.
The room was very clean and comfortable. I could not fault it as such.
I did not like the air conditioning which did not really keep the room warm.
When I arrived iwas told I had no bookings even though I showed the confirmation and the fact that I had already paid they said booking .com was at fault and that's who I have to get in touch with to get my money back.
The fact that the hotel was full of immigrants, and that's why there was no rooms.
The staff were so friendly and attentive. They wished us happy anniversary and were so lovely. The breakfast was so fresh and hot too.
Rooms/bed was comfy and clean
No evening area for eating dining in.
Disappointing
The booking said check out was 12 noon, however, housekeeping knocked on the door at 10am asking us to leave. Totally unacceptable
First time in a holiday inn. Very impressed with staff helpfulness. Breakfast was excellent.
Perfect location for our trip, lovely breakfast
One of our cupboards in the room had dirty things inside, taken a photo
